well they are open on sundays.
I just called them...and they were just calling to let me know I could have come in to donate for an extra $5

i've actually smoked blunts w/ the techs that work at my DCI plasma place. taken bars right before i walked in too. 90% of the plasma donors around here are straight up junkies so it's no secret we're all fucked out our minds as they draw plasma.. that or, the coke man is waiting in the lobby on you.

I don't think they take your blood if you test + for drugs so it's good to know plasma is a little more tolerant

i've never donated blood where they asked me if I did drugs. they ask you if you're a IV drug user and if you have unprotected sex. one time they asked me if i'd had a cigarette in the past 30 minutes but I told the truth and said yes, they took my blood anyway.

They are probably calling to get you back in for the second time. When I used to do that they were really pushy about getting you to come twice a week.

Yeah it was like 13$ the first time and 21$ the second time a week. Not a lot of money, but kind of worth it if you went twice.

damn the place i used to go to pays 25$ the first time, there's also coupons you can use one time for 5$ extra in the newspaper. the second time you get 20$ plus a 20$ returner bonus. pretty sure they give you a 5$ coupon after you donate the first time too. each time after that is between 20 and 30$ depending on how much you've donated lately.

Well to be honest the only exp. I have w/ giving blood was in high school where they wouldn't use the blood if it tested positive for drugs. I though it was pretty funny when they announce that around 60% that the blood they received was usable.
