Gonna take your advice and not get ahead of myself, so instead i just started throwing in one armed swings for my last few sets. Did my warmups and three TGU per arm. My first three sets of swings i did normal double handed, one set per arm, then one set where i alternated arms each swing. Was very difficult to maintain my form for the one arm swings.

I would recommend starting in column 2 for some easier sets. I am in week 4 column 1 - and will move up to column 2, and possibly column 3 if necessary. Presently, at around 75 pushups i am close to failure.

In other news - Yoga absolutely killed me today. The heat was unbearable, i felt as if i was going to pass out, run out of the room screaming, or vomit.

It was insane, i was still sweating 15 minutes after leaving the room.

I am totally smoked. However - they did mention they are adding two noon classes during the week, week after next - so i will be going 5x/week which has me super stoked.

I am doing bikrams "hot" yoga

So its a 40.5 Celsius heated room at 40-60% humidity.

Ontop of that - the past 2 days have been really full, i think because alot of "new years resolution" types coming in. More people = more heat.

I need to start taking two litres of water to class, cause 1 is gone by the half way point and leaves me suffering.

Nice.

Just got done w/ my abs&legs day.  I've been frustrated with my prepetual inability to manage a right-leg pistol, so I've quit working the negative and now i'm just doing weighted squats to try and get some leg strength.

1/4/10
-Warmup
-Abs, lots
-Legs, lots more
-Abs some more
-Cooldown/stretches

Alright, I just got a Dick's gift card for my birthday and I want to go see if they have kettlebells.
Should I buy one or two? If two should they be the same size or different?

They have kettlebells, they are the GoFit brand.  Start out with a 16kg (35lb) unless you are relatively strong already, in which you'd start with a 20kg or 24kg.

You can start out with just 1, since they're kinda on the steep side.  if you feel like buying two, get two different sizes, you'll probably move throgh your first bell within 6mo

In a rush today:

-2x50 situps
-16,18,13,13,20 = 80 pushups

I tried a circuit training approach to the KB today:

-2x10 cleans
-4x20 1 armed swings
-1x10 clean and press

I pulled that off, in much less than 10 minutes. Huffing and puffing, felt like my chest was going to collapse.

++ for kicking up the intensity!

Just got done w/ pushups.

1/8/09
-Warmups
-Pushups (w3 c3 d1) 14,18,14,14,20 = 80
-24kg Swings & Cleans (1 set - someone came to the door and i stopped working out)
-No cooldown (got high though)

I dont like pushups!  They are not as intensive as the KB work i've been used to.  They dont spike my HR like I want!  However, I can tell my triceps really need the workout, so i'm going to continue on w/ the 100 pushup program.

Hey everyone, just got back from cuba yesterday.  I did a big variety workout to get back into kettlebells.

I did swings, snatches, TGUs, and 4 ladders of 3 rungs with the 20kg.  I'm sore today and feel great.  Going to do some TGUs and presses to get back into it and complete my 20kg ROP.

"A human being is part of the whole, called by us 'Universe'; a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest -- a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness.

This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and affection for a few persons nearest us.

Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole nature in its beauty.

Nobody is able to achieve this completely but striving for such achievement is, in itself, a part of the liberation and a foundation for inner security."

Well this week I pulled a major fail, went a few hours south to visit some family for like four days and totally blew off my kettlebell. I did pushups and situps all week but i am so pissed at myself for not doing my normal routine.

Anyways, starting it back up today, My fiance just got her 8kg bell so well be taking it slow and watching videos and helping her develop good form and such. Ill update with how it went later.

Ok, well today was fun and frustrating at the same time, trying to teach her while im still learning myself was interesting to say the least. But anyways, she got the basics for a few swings, though shes not totally comfortable with it yet. Shes fuckin rocking the TGU with two full ones per arm on her first shot. and the warmups went fine, its just going to be a while researching and reading and practicing for her to get the swing.

For my workout i did my warmups, halos im trying to improve my reps so i did one set of 20 then one of 10, in a week or so  hope to have 20 and 20.

swings i did 5x15, with my form suffering very much from the days off i took. Also because of the days off i really struggled with my TGU, i did one per arm and then did 50 sit ups and 20 push ups to add a little on to the workout.

It actually felt really good to work out today, my body was loving it. Looking forward to being back on track with my routine and getting my fiance in on the wonder that is kettlebells.
