You don't have to follow the traditional conventions when naming you dog you can name it whatever the fuck you want. I met this dude the other day who's name was Todayish which I though was kinda cool he went by Tojo though.

Like the second one. Or you could just call her Girl. When I got my basset/beagle mix, I named him Boy, he had a big set of balls for a pup his age. It was the first name that came to my mind when I first laid eyes on him and that was the only name he would answer to so it stuck. He still has a big set of balls but they aren't hanging so close to the ground now that he's full grown.

I like weird names but I kind of like them to have a meaning behind them.
But it's partially my step fathers dog as well.

I'll be the one taking care of it and all that but He wants to approve the name at least.

Seems easier to train/communicate with the dog if you give it a one or two syllable name with sharp vowels.

My dogs name is Butter... I took one look at him and the name came about 2 minutes later on the car ride home.
Here is my name submission, its the best thing I could come up with. Feminine names are harder to think of for me for some reason.
