Are Scarlet Wax Caps considered rare? I've stumbled across Hygrocybe coccinea a fair few times, they're tasty

In Europe they are very rare. In several european countries it
is forbidden to pick them.

Great photos! I thought that first one was a wicked blue and I really liked the shot of Leucogyrophana mollusca, it looks like some fried eggs with some brains in the middle, cool!!!

Excellent photos  Great species as well.

I'm surprised that the last species is not in the genus pholiota, but that only underlines my ignorance.

Wow, amazing mushrooms.  I had a hard time deciding which one to pick for picture of the month so I nominated 1, 3, 4, and 10.

I really like 1 and 4.  It would be awesome to try to grow # 1 on sawdust.

Also # 4 is the most badass looking cort I have ever seen, it would be fun to try to introduce that one around here.

How do you vote for the picture of the month? Because I would go for number 1 of this thread.

Terana caerulea grows mostly on rotten maple wood.

It's interesting how these mushrooms seem to have a sort of accent about them to me. It's almost like hearing someone from another nation speaking but visually.

They almost feel proper and proud to me...

And here are some pics of my hunting grounds, the Jura Mountains,

Those are good photos, though a few of them struck me as familiar...

I've seen some of those pics on a few different European sites before... are these your sites?
