Those (probable) ascomycetes on the mushrooms look very interesting. Did you make a collection?

Happy mushrooming!

I was going through some mushrooms and files from the summer and I identified these freaks of nature as Laccaria.  It's nice identifying mushrooms 5 months after you pick them.

I know what you mean MM, i recently went back on a few mushrooms i had saved in my collection and ID'd them correctly.

Sometimes im just so busy with hunting and studying mushrooms that some specimens get lost in the many boxes i store them in, and in the back of my mind:lol:

My amanita collection is getting rather large:grin:

you have an herbarium? I used to keep dried samples and spores of all I found. Haven't done so in a while though.

I know exactly what you mean.   Not everything turns out so well though.  There were prints and mushrooms that were thrown away because I had no idea what they were.

Thanks, Beege.  Having the right equipment takes you one step closer to great shots, knowing how to use the equipment is another story (or at least it is for me).  I promise myself I'll take better shots this year but I imagine that will vanish when they are everywhere.  I'll get the fever again and focus more on collecting than photography.

They are way cheap, Beege.  Like under ten dollars, especially for macro shots.
