    #9384798 - 12/07/08 12:50 PM (15 years, 3 months ago)

Here are some finds from this last week in San Diego county. Filicita park, Palomar mountain, San Clamente Canyon, SDSU area.

My guess is some kind of Pleuteus species but the print is brown and not pink.

A possibility on the "Lentinus" is Pholiota.  Nice pictures.

Nice pics as landsnorkler remarked!

I'm not sure about #1, couldn't it be a cortinarius?

#4 and #5 could be mycenas, but I'm notoriously bad at those little shroomies.
#6-8 looks like a rhodocollybia to me, or perhaps a gymnopus sp. rhodocollybia buttyracea would be my first inkling.

#30 looks like an overage honey mushroom or perhaps a gymnopilus sp.

Good job on those IDs

Beautiful photography and mushrooms!

Pluteus always has pink gills at maturity and pink spore prints.  Those mushrooms are something else.  A quick field test for Pluteus that separates it from many other species is the identifying characteristic of free gills.  Even though I can't see the attachment in the photo it feels as if they are attached, not free.

They are free. Very free. It has about a 2 mm distance from where the stipe is to the start of the gills.
