i like the actual smoking of a joint more but i like the high i get from bongs much more.

Yeah I have a nice medium bong, which was $60, and it's just awesome. Feels clean, and +1 for an awesome high.
The only bad thing about mine is that it still hits super strong and you don't know if you took too much in one hit because it uses up a lot and gets pretty much no air just pure smoke in.
Of course a nice spliff can be good when you're on-the-go.

The portablility factor of spliffs is ideal. I also can gauge how much of smoked and am in less danger of over doing it than with a bong. I've emptied out cigerettes and filled them with pot, then put them back into my cigerette pack and sometimes keeping the filters on. I thought is was so funny being in Vegas in front of the MGM Grand smoking pot out of something that looked just like a cigerette to this island music. Most people would just walk by but there was this one young guy who smelled it and he just looked at me in disbelief, like how can anyone be smoking pot in public, it's illegal!! And I just gave him a grin, loving the music.
And yes living with people, I live in a highly conservative state, that think the law trumps anything and are so conditioned that there is no way to break through to them, is not an ideal living arrangement. Just got to do it out of the house and have some good hiding places.

I must say that I use my bong almost every time I smoke (unless I'm going outside, then I pack up my bowl). I suck at rolling, so I never get to enjoy myself a good spliff. If I could have the joint to myself and not have to pass it, I would LOVE smoking it. But I'm usually smoking with people who:
1. Don't know how to smoke a joint
2. Forget its in their hand and talk while it burns
3. End up smoking the whole thing like a mother fucker
I'm a bong master though, so I love my bong.

I used to have one of these little guys. They were perfect for smoking on the go wherever you were. The thing was sthe size of a cellphone. It was good for one or two people.
Home alone, though, the bong is a god.

I'd recommend getting some very cheap rolling tobacco and practice rolling. Midnight Special rolling tobacco is cheap as hell and it comes with papers too! That is if you even want to get better at rolling.
Oh, and I love both joints and bongs. I don't have a bong so I usually smoke joints. Although I smoke out of my little pipe a lot as well.

yeah i used to suck dick at rolling. Then i had to live in a dorm room and couldn't have a smelly pipe, so i mastered the rolling technique;)
