Hi every 1,
New to the site.
Went looking this morning to a little place in surrey where I went a few years back and found around 80. Ended up giving a lot away, ate around 20 myself in a pot noodle but didn't really feel that much!
Would really like to find some more. I've check this spot about 3 times in the last 2 weeks and nothing yet. Could it be that they have stopped growing here now? or should I wait a bit longer?
Thought the weather was right, as it's getting colder in the day and night.
Did any one see the moon last night, looked mad with the scattered clouds in the sky, ironically it was a Harvest moon, but unfortunately I didn't harvest any shrooms http://www.shroomery.org/forums/images/icons/frown.gif Frown

I've been looking like mad but still havnt had any luck around Leicester.
I'm going to keep my chin up and go looking again this afternoon, is it worth it? Or is it best to go early mornings?

Well after reading the posts on here I got a bit excited and decided to go on a bit of a hunt after work today. I had my eye on a few fields that seemed ideal, but also chose a back up location which should of guarenteed some shrooms. To cut a long story short, after finding nothing at my first locations, and nothing at my backup, I didn't want to admit defeat so I went to my back up backup which never lets me down, and managed to find this depressing haul -

So after a hell of a lot of driving and walking I'm just feeling a bit frustrated really!!!
Are you lot just lying about the season starting?! Seriosuly though, is anyone in the Manchester, or North West area in general having much luck yet?
I did manage to make some friends though, but they still wouldn't tell me where all the mushrooms were!!!

hi,
my knowledge of picking doesnt go beyone to word of others, so im asking, if i was to head to the nearby golf course, as its Ireland, and its been raining aplenty so from what I make of it, nows a good time to go looking.
so, if i was to find a mushroom on the green of the course or wherever, how would I know it was a proper shroom as opposed to one youd be best off throwing away,
any help is appreciated thanks,
