Psilocybe weilii.
Beautiful finds:cool:
By the way I love that gill shot, one of the best I've seen of this species!

I thought wow, I very rarely see nice gill shots of that species and had to nominate it!
Hopefully SEmushroomHunter can bring us some more nice images:grin:

Too true and rarely such unblemished specimens too. So often they are pretty torn up or deformed looking. It's a good start at the Shroomery with pics like that.

Indeed, a lot of the time the specimens we see here are quite damaged, a good thing for people interested in mycology to remember is to collect specimens fully intact, this is going against the scissors theory but for proper examination and identification complete specimens are required, and also to damage each specimen as little as possible!
I hope he comes back with more nice finds:cool:

There's pros and cons to the scissors theory, but that's another story.

Yes, hopefully he'll return with many more good finds.:yesnod:

Yes there are pro's and con's when it comes to harvesting but if you are making collections for study and identification purposes complete specimens are necessary because quite often there are identifying features found at the base of the stipe that would be lost if scissors were used!

100%weillii.

congratulations :psychsplit:

And Welcome to the Shroomery

iam curious weilli grow in a big area that still is mapping every year, what state are you in , this is important since the only other thing that can be is psilocybe caerulescens  but they look more like weillii to me,

rare save  many specimens even if turn out to be a weillii  is a new record for the area maybe....

Who would have thought?

Is there any possibility this is something else, or has weilii finally made the jump?
