Yes. You need to know a spot.
Taking this advice to heart, I asked a couple of people who are into the scene I now if they had any information, and apparently a local school's field is a known spot. I don't know if it's up to date but hey, a lead is nice

My spot is also a local school field in east anglia. Which btw has not started fruiting yet.

Thats interesting that libs are coming up in golf courses and school fields. I have always heard that they grow in areas where farm animals graze but apparently the animals are not necessary.

it doesnt seem so, in my experience they grow in fields that are bordered by trees and have the grass cut regularly (i believe they grow up out of the rotting grass and leaves) no animals needed

I've found specimens (not many, mind you) growing in a well kept lawn so that would suggest the animals aren't necessary.

Nice finds. It's great to keep up to date with the liberty cap hauls on here and whenever I get out again I'll be reporting back also.

Yeah, it has been pretty wet, but I went up to this hilly area that I'm pretty close too, where there was better drainage. Most of the libs I found were on sloped parts of the field where it wasn't so waterlogged.

Its strange, my spot is a horse pasture, flanked by an estate. Two weeks ago I found a few growing in the local church's front lawn. They also absolutely cover the local schools playing field.
Im just biding my time for a photo of libs growing in the church courtyard on a misty morning, should be good if I can get it right.

Good to see so many people finding liberty caps this early.
I plan on heading out tomorrow to my local spot and hopefully come across enough for me and a few friends to enjoy our first trip of the season.

ive always found it funny that folk think libs only grow where thers animals, animals are not needed at all.i used to lay turf and even the freshly cut turf has libs on it.i think some folk would be surprised at the places where libs grow.

300 or so in a couple of hours. A few nippy nights have triggered 'em down my way. Unfortunately gonna warm up a bit.
Love to get that certain 'nip' in the air. The nostrils never lie.
Setting up to be good.

"Shamanism that is specifically rooted in the kind of experiences that are induced by psychoactive plants ... is an area that our society is extraordinarily phobic and nervous concerning, and the reason I think is not far to seek.
Because modern institutions depend on the transmission of a certain world view and then willing acquiescense in the truth of that world view by the populations into which it is being exported.
In other words a kind of cultural brainwashing is necessary for modern cultures to work at all.
The consequences of the acceptance of this situation of brainwashing is further acceleration toward catastrophe."
