300 is pretty good going. I found around 30 today but I wasn't looking for long.
Here's my favourite find which is exhibiting blue bruising; the cap itself was actually blue before I picked it.

i feel very privelidged to have the field i do! i always thought my hauls were small (due to the immense amounts i have seen posted on this forum by uarewotueat and a few others).
once you find the right field, you will literally find Oz's upon Oz's. I might go tomorrow, or tuesday if not tomorrow.
Will post pictures - i promise

even my fields don't produce ALL the time, i have to check over about 50 acres to find the best spots at that particular time in that particular year. that is how i have ended up with such a large range, when one field is sparse i check the others and a few new ones, thus extending my hunting grounds year on year
oh and, no i still haven't been hunting yet

i seem to remember the '00 and '05 seasons were particularly good. didn't need to pick for a couple of years after those.
if i end up with 1oz or greater thats just fine
what was your best year?

i can't agree though... last year had ALOT more rain and was cooler than this year and the mushroom season was late and picking wasn't amazing
the last really good year picking i had was 2005 and it was unusually hot and dry that year
