Wanna Start Up An Indoor Poppy Grow

I'm looking to start up my own indoor poppy grow and this will be the first time I have ever grown plants indoors, let alone poppies, so I will need a lot of help with this.
Is hydroponic the way to go or should I stick with soil?
What supplies should I buy?
Of course, I need actual instructions on how to grow the little guys too.

Poppies don´t grow very well indoors. They need lots of rootspace.

I couldn't find any threads about indoor poppy grows, most seem focused on outdoor grows.

then you must be using a different shroomery search function than i my good man...

i cant vouch for the quality of the information in those threads as i have not read through them all... however i do get tons of results for the term "indoor poppies"
there is probably some info on indoor growing in the thread stickied at the top of this forum "from poppy seed to opium" if you look through it all (but it does concentrate on the old fashioned outdoor growing method)
personally i cant imagine why anyone would want to grow them indoors though... perhaps for stealth reasons poppies are so easy to grow outdoors, you dont even need to do anything with them, just wait until the appropriate season and throw your seeds on the ground... thin out if necessary, perhaps give some water if they get dry and thats about it...
well anyway good luck with your project if you are set on an indoor grow

I'm growing them indoors for a couple reasons.
Mostly stealth, but also for location. I live in Florida and it rains heavily just about every day, from what I have read, poppies hate humidity and too much moisture.

You live in a very similar zone to me and if anything they love it when it rains (their growth seems to explode). Just plant them on a raised bed. I have mine growing under some palm trees where they get lots of sun and little rain and they are doing amazingly well.
Are they illegal there?

Hmm..
If they do fair well in the humid rainy weather like yours are doing I can probably find a discreet spot for them.
There is an abundance of information about growing and cultivating pot on the web, but there is so little about growing poppies. Really pisses me off.
What about dosages? I've heard people say you need anywhere from 5-30 pods just to produce a single smokable hit of opium. Can anyone clear that up?

I was recently looking at dosages (yesterday actually) and it is a kinda scary plant to use. The morphine and heroine quantities can vary wildly plant to plant, v to v. Up to 10% of the latex can be alkaloids, i think addicts inject about 0.1g (10mg) of h. So that means about 100mg of latex. But there is no fucking way i would smoke that much in one hit. I would start off with the tiniest amount just to establish its potency and how my body will react. I am not even sure i want to try it anymore lol, it is such a dangerous entheogen. I have never harvested so i dont know how much you get off a pod. But i guess 1 pod would give a couple hits.
Consider 1-2g of latex is a lethal dose, its not a plant you want to be clumsy with.

If you are smoking latex opium, you'll most likely find that you are high enough before you keel over and die from OD.
