End date. I propose June 20th plenty of time for us to get down anything, and maybe even start over in case of contam.
People will finish before others and before June 20th . –we wont share pics of our ”growoff pinsets” until June 20th but pics of individual shrooms and other things like that are okay
How do you win the contest? I have no clue what we will do what I was thinking is
Each person will have to put up his tallest/heaviest shroom, his dry weight of final harvest. The most amount of prepared prints/ syringes that will be sent out, and just for the hell of it I say the reddest print should be in there.
Anyone who is in the competition want to contribute to this? Who are the people (final list)

Has to be Multispore! (makes isolating a fruiting strain easier in the long run IMHO)

And 1 more thing... Entire Pictoral Grow log posted on June 20th... from spore to spore step by step! including any subsequent flushes after the first.
Spawn materials and amounts are solely up to the individual grower... Multiple tubs/cakes/casings can be entered! as the contest itself is dependant upon pinset not final harvest weight wet or dry

What ever works for you. AFOAF has a couple of things to start. I'll keep you posted. How did the prints look? Cube like?

Thats kewl pazzy, whenever you start you start post your results and be sure to make prints to give away.
It would be interesting to get a new "strain" out there, if it is what it is, I have some doubts. I wish stroph would post some pics.

I just inoculated my LC today... man 6/20? to me that is an eternity... but whatever, I will post my results as soon as I have them... by june 20th I will have been through at least 8 monos of the strain as long as their good...
I work fast what can I say?
I would have rathered a race to pinset on a casing but if this is how stroph wants it...
My personal goal here is to make 300 spore prints available by June 20th... And I bet I make more than that

Well, These Prints are not clean. My LC is contaminated already in 3 days and my agar plates show mold already... Looks like we are gonna have to Isolate clean growth at the very least. Multispore will fail.

So getting clean growth on agar doesn't count as time invested? Maybe we should just start the 25 day timer when we see some some pins.

I've got 6 quarts of WBS/MS about half way colonized. They should be done by the middle of next week.
I collected about 50 lbs. of hpoo/straw compost from a buddy's miniature horse farm. He's also got about 100 rabbits, so I grabbed about 20 pounds of rabbit poo too, just for a little experiment. Everything's going nicely, thanks. No agar, no excuses.

Alright... I see how it is... my agar time is time spent... still bet i get it done by may 29th anyway...
May have to employ a secret method, but I will still do it before May 29th... I still have 34 days and dont even need it all, even from agar.

Oh, I am having fun. You've already pushed the timeline back from the 20th to the 29th? Wow. Whatever I can do to help you win, just let me know.
They're not contaminated. Surprisingly enough I do know mycelium when I see it. I started some other jars on the same day.
Colonization speeds:
1st- NJ6. This strain simply tears through grain. It's my first time working with it , and it's one of the fastest colonizers I've seen. Very rhizomorphic. One of the jars lacks about 5% colonization.
2- Columbian Red. It's in a strong 2nd. I didn't even shake this batch because the prints were so fresh, it provided dozens of inoculation points on it's own. They're at about 75% colonization.
3- PE6. Average colonization speeds. Jars @ about 30-35% completed.
4- Oak Ridge. It surprised me. Off to a very sluggish start (about 15% colonized), but still has more mycelium (not counting mold) than any of Menace's jars.
So how about you, Grod31, Pazzy, and Pdaemon? You still with us?

i just so happen to have a good many jars fully colonized that i'm planning on spawning later tonight
we should figure out some way to create a prize :-D
i'm a little confused as to how exactly all this works though, could someone clarify for me?
are each of these seperate contests? the pinset? the weight? the reddest print..? the growlog?
doesn't matter to me, but any reason we're keeping them secret and not just reposting them in the final contest thread?
i'd be glad to help anyone who needs it 
ENTRY UPDATE:
I just spawned 11 pints (almost 6qts) of rye colonized with multispore F+ to about 4-5 inches worth of my substrate mix in a 21gal sterilite tub
