Something pretty cool I saw once when I ate some shrooms but fell asleep before the kicked in.
I was sleeping in a room with the fan and light on and I started to dream. All I remember is seeing a 3D elephant and like it was being made on a computer program. The angle at witched I viewed it was changing and then I got this really intense burst of energy and woke up. Then went back to sleep (more of day dreaming by now) and I was looking at the light with my eyes closed and I could imagine the fan spinning around and then it started to melt and I got that burst of energy again and woke up. Then I was wide awake.
Just proof you can't sleep on shrooms.
Another crazy thing I really remember is watching a clock move backwards. That was on acid tho.

Both times I've done shrooms my friend has turned into a corpse. Then he turns into the Joker (Batman cartoon, not dark night/original movie).
I think the craziest was either when I saw nothing but "shiny toy guns" or when my entire floor turned into the winamp visualizer (which still moved to the music). It was nuts

- Listening to Psytrance and staring at some artwork on my computer. It started to feel like a drill was going into my head and the pressure kept building and building. Eventually it felt like my head exploded, and on all the surfaces around me was images of myself pointing and laughing at me
- Sitting on the shitter in the dark, looking down into my hands and seeing an image of myself. The face screams and it feels as if I'm getting sucked into it
- Staring at a picture and letting my eyes relax. It starts to animate, and slowly portions of the picture start to lift up from the screen, unravel and form a new picture. This cycle repeats a few times over, eventually my entire world vanishes from around me and I'm sucked into a beautiful scene. In the distance is a giant temple, lining the long road is a bunch of pillars, ontop of the pillars are dancing elpehants. Some sort of god/godess figure is in the centre of it. The world was full of life and animation
- Laying on my couch just sort of spacing out on nothing. I see a 'rip' start to form in space, it begins to open up, and eventually the most brilliant white starts to pour out of it - but at the same time, there was also millions of colours forming things/scenes/etc that I cant quite describe.
- Sitting under a tree next to a river. My body starts to viberate and condense - I close my eyes and it looks as if I can mentally visualize every cell in my body in 3D space. It feels as if I'm condensing more and more and more. Eventually I explode - I open my eyes and all I can see is a wall of white around me - my world is gone. I close my eyes and I can see the particles of 'me' starting to join this never-ending gaseous stream of fractals. I can zoom in and out infinitely at will.
- Sitting on a beach next to a river (in another spot), looking at some tree's over on the other shore. I place my hands onto the ground in front of me and millions of little 'pixles' start to flow into me - I can feel myself welling up with energy (this was also tied in with the music I was listening to), at the 'release' in the set, they all gushed back out of me and across the river and the tree's across turned into giant green-tree-like marionettes. The world became a puppet show and I was the master.
- Laying on a hill watching the clouds roll by. I was listening to the Fires of Ork CD (nice minimal ambient). A castle starts to form in the sky - but it was being formed with twisting bodies - it's hard to describe. As the song climaxes, the draw-bridge to the castle opens up and a big giant gold buddah is waving and smiling at me.
... just a few of the things that are easier to describe, and not giving them any justice at that either.

I normally just see patterns. My most common recurring patterns are tribal, aztec looking shit and floral patterns.
The "craziest" visuals I ever got were repeating pot leaf patterns all over my room. That was cool. I don't care if it sounds dumb to talk about my visuals. I saw pot leaves, and it made me smile big.

I have seen some pretty crazy things but there is one that stands out from them all...
One night after eating between 10 and 15g of cubes and 10 e pills.. (the e was spaced out through the night, poppin one every 45 minutes at a rave then a after party. I ate 5g of shrooms before going to the rave then I ate 5-10 more grams at the after party)
I was in the basement doing whippits with a friend of mine. The ceiling and walls were covered in geometric shapes and patterns that constantly morphed and changed colors. After doing a fat balloon of nitrous a portal opened up in the ceiling and sucked me into it, the portal was made up of intense fractals and I was lost in a sea of colors and happyness. I eventually got spit back out onto a bed and saw intense fractals all over the place for the rest of the night.

No I don't recall having any ego loss, I was aware the entire trip of who I was and I remember what I was doing, for the most part. I did get lost a few times in the dark basement. The walls were not there and all I could see was a complete void of darkness and lots of people and bodes that I did not recognize. Even though I was the only person in the basement at the time of me getting lost.
It was one crazy night and I tripped balls.  Would love to do it again some day.
