The more butane, alcohol, hexane etc you remove the better the better the product.
That is why poeple will take a week to propperly, whip a tub of BHO to make it like earwax.
You can use a kitchen grade blender to slowly fold it over time as well. The idea is to expose as much maerial to the air so it can cure off the butane...thats is what "curing means". If your
product sparkles, or tataes like butane -it has not been "cured"
And many even use a vacuum centrifuge., they work the best but are quite expensive.
There are also ways to rewash the BHO even cleaner to get even more by-products out of it, redecuing it to an almost dry honey-comb like crystal.
Creation of high grade BHO prodcuts is an ARTFORM, one that is secretely showed to others and slowly improved over LOTS of time.
Next level abouve is properrly cured honey-bud (og kush "amberfied" within og kush bho)

I personally produce mine with dry ice (NO BUTANE ANYMORE) and a 110 an a 90 silk screen, by hand.
Mine doesn't always melt, but if he original weed was bomb - it tsatses JUST like Purpke Kush or just like OG Kush, and is like added flavouring to a bowl of weed.
It is 100% better for the envrironment, I dont have to buy the "master-cases" of 144 cans of V5 Gas of butane (that go right into the atmosphere), I have never blown anyones hose or kitchen up, and I am am not left with a bunch of marjijuana garbage to dispose of (which just sits in peoples backyards for YEAR)

23.5 grams of Grand Daddy Purple and 5 grams of Shark Attack along with a gram of amazing half melt bubble hash. Also got some vegetable oil for edibles. I only paid fifty bucks for everything! It is an hour and a half drive which is a pain.
(it's a little wet but he told me it wasn't quite ready but it was the only day I could pick it up. I am letting it dry more before smoking it.)
I put a ball or two of the hash on a bowl and inhale as I heat it up with the glass wand.
I can do that a few times and fill up the bong with vapor as it a few times as it melts and bubbles before it starts to burn.
It gets me really high.
Very, very efficient I just had to perfect it. I recommend all of you try it.

In the UK you would pay at the very minimum with mates rates £200 up to around £400 which is the same as about $370/740 and thats applying bulk rates.
Lots of you will think I'm chatting shit but I have been around so to speak and around 5 years ago yeah weed used to be cheap but we had a huge amount of raids in 2005 which saw all weed, hash etc go dry all over kent for over 5 months. I mean I managed to get hold of say 7 grams of weed in that whole 5 months. Never seen anythink like those raids but basically ever since that summer not only did we start getting really wet shitty weed and I mean all over the fucking place but the good weed was never as good as what it was and the prices went from £10 for 1.7 to £10 for 0.8 and on the ounce from £120 to £200/£220 even £250.
I am stunned at the prices in the US and the quality of the weed over there, don't get me wrong the market has improved here ie quality is better and prices a little better maybe saving £10 on the ounce so no special market reforms lol
I can only guess over there you have so many people growing that the overall price is lower. The only way to get those sort of prices over here would be to either grow yourself or be in with someone who is growing or something along those lines. Almost makes me want to move over to the USA

I whipped up a batch of Sour Diesel Oil last night. It came out as that sappy amber shatter that I know and love.
Smells like straight funk. Very cerebral high.
Purged in a hot water bath with gentle agitation, no whipping.
And to the person who asked what kind of butane to use.... Vector is the only way to spray!

It depends on what part of the country. Around here (Northern California) the market is flooded. So many people grow and so much is grown prices are rather cheap. It gets pushed quickly from grower to "dealer" to smoker, changing hands but a only a couple times if I had to guess  , as most people know someone who grows, or knows someone that knows someone who grows. Since there are few links between grower and smoker, it is common to legitimately know what strain you're getting, majority of the time I know what strain I'm smoking.
Prices around here have been dropping over the past 5 years or so. Average prices, for more or less very good quality buds...1g for $10, 3.5g for $30, ounces for $150 to $200, and it only gets cheaper as you buy more of course. After harvest, it seems like everyone is trying to sell weed, and prices go down even more for a little while.

The left nug i was told was GDP, smokes pretty good and has crazy trichomes. But the manicure could have been a lot better.
The right nug was some no name dank that smelled pretty good and smoked decent.
