Damn you. Now I'm going to have to research all these bands.

I would upload some of my own, but I have the shittiest upload speeds ever.

Download the MGMT album...the first track is phenomenal.

Gimme a one-sentence description of the type of music it is.

Hm, the singing has that choral aspect that Arcade Fire has definitely made the "in" thing to do, but unlike so many bands I've been hearing/seeing lately it comes off as more than a bandwagon gimmick; what really catches me is low grinding bass, the interesting and varied drumbeats, and the tasteful way they've implemented electronica into a rock song.

One sentence - semicolons FTW!

Downloading as we speak.

Have you heard of Pale Young Gentlemen? They have a eastern European sound, which is strange since they're from Wisconsin.

"With a DIY release and a penny orchestra sound, this Madison band should appeal to fans of Beirut and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah-- and their self-released LP should serve as a springboard to something greater."

I know how you feel about Pitchfork, but:

Hey I may not like pitchfork, but that doesn't mean I don't read it now and then - I just put about forty-eight grains of salt between me and their opinions.

Thanks for the heads up, definitely going to check that out!

Yeah, thanks for the MGMT.

As for Pitchfork, the way I see it is if they give something a good review chances are it's gonna be good, but if something gets a bad review that doesn't mean shit.

Its only a 192bit rip, but you can still hear how good their music is. I can't wait for a .flac of this album. These guys are defiantly going to be a great band.

192bit is fine as far as I'm concerned.

They're defiantly going to be a good band, huh? :smirk: Who are they going to defy?
