thats a right the law has when they find large sums of cash on someones person in conjunction with a big amount of drugs
The drugs are optional. If you're stopped with a large sum of money only, the cops can permanently take it, presuming that anyone carrying that much cash must be doing something illegal.
One guy had $125,000 (his life savings) summarily stolen by the police and never returned.

yos- i am just curious how do you suggest drug dealers maintain owe/pay sheets then - electronically? also to 'play ball' with some 20gram guys somebody probably needed to come up for 5g to make the incentive for the deal worth letting in an outsider, well it wasn't in this case.

nothing wrong w/ owe sheets... but, you shouldn't be carrying them around.. and they shouldn't be written so clearly that the cops can just look at them and know what they are...
i'm not exactly sure what you're saying about the 20g/5g.. it was really unclear... you're saying that someone had to vouch for the person that was buying the 5g? i'm sorry, if you're selling 5g of crystal to someone, you had better know who the hell they are.. personally, not second-hand... otherwise you walk right into some shit like this. You can never trust someone to be as safe as yourself... the fact that someone you deal with would tell someone they deal with that they can put so-and-so in contact w/ someone that is moving that kind of weight should be reason enough to be very hesitant about so-and-so..
The middleman here obviously was the most unintelligent of the group... but, the others didn't have themselves very well protected in case something went down.. and were dealing with the idiot in the middle themselves...

I don't see anywhere in the article where it says the people arrested were the ones who made the drug, just that they had possession of it.
I doubt the actual cooks would go around trying to sell the stuff to people they don't know (i.e. agents).
Chances are that the actual cooks are still around undetected.
Hopefully, if those who were arrested know anything, they won't say a word.
Do we know that the drug siezed was actual LSD, or maybe it would be something similar, like an research chemical?

Well this is the DEA not some local police department, I am sure they know what they're doing. But I'm sure even they have made mistakes like raided a huge bust they thought was X and it was actually Y

That's sad. I want to hear of more meth busts, and cocaine seziures. And fucking mowing down the drug lord of a huge herion ring in the middle of maimi.
You know, the drugs that's actually cause damage and are a thorn in our society. I would be willing to bet if everyone in this thread called their respective congressmen, it would do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
You know why? This countries done for. No way we're turning back now. Maybe in the mid 90's there was a chance, but not now.

I agree... too much money is wasted siezing harmless drugs... (well not completely harmless) but lets say ones that dont effect the world and aren't addicting... Ex: MARIJUANA?... The DEA needs to spend more time dealing with the bigger problems such as crack, meth, and heroin... Everyone knows weed will be around forever... the only way to reduce the buying and selling of marijuana would be to increase the punishment to death... yet that would be unreasonable and 12.6% of the U.S. would be killed... The DEA should just give up...
