I think you're right...really common on the west coast..I think those are the same ones that were all over last year

only ones I mess with at this stage is cyans and related. If it's a good year and some good specimens I'll try to get into some other species

btw, for this erm, friscosa species

I thought this might have been a mutation at first some years ago, byt mutation isn't the right word, because that implies a flaw

Nice finds!  Looks like those areas are retaining moisture.

It's approaching 80 degrees F today.  Looks like the season is on hold.

I'm going to be going up north about 15 min from oregon border and about 10 min from the ocean there is pastures all around. My question is what should I expect I was hoping to find some liberty caps and possibly some cyans because theres redwood forest all around too I was just hoping someone could tell me if it's a wate of time to look becuase of the weather or is there still chances of actives sprouting up out there

Saw a new spot today with a handful.  Again, right alongside Stropharia aurantiaca in low shrubs.

Took another look at the spot I photographed yesterday and saw that there were many more tangled up in the shrubs.  I estimate that there are 170 specimens there, some with caps 2.5-3" across.
