If the FC itself is getting a decent amount of light exposure, you should be fine. Light is not a limiting factor to growth-it's simply a trigger.

cool thanks man.
well if everything goes smoothly i should be updating with pics of the fruiting process soon. hopefully the bottom will fully colonize soon and then ill wait a bit to make sure of the full colonization and then its off to the fruiting chamber.

alright guys, so my jar is one hundred percent colonized as far as i know as of today. i will wait a few days and then to the fruiting chamber it goes. but my question is since i only have this one jar... what can i use as a fruiting chamber? i have a large rubbermaid container but that will be useful for when i grow multiple jars. i also only have so much perlite atm moment and wouldnt the humitidy and everything be better if i just used a small fruiting chamber for the one jar? so what would your advise be as to go about making the ideal fruiting chamber for this one jar?

So its been a week since i moved the cakes to my fruiting chamber. My camera broke yesterday which is just perfect timing since this is when i need my camera most, haha. so that sucks.. but i did get to have one picture of the first pins before it broke. and the pic from today i took with my webcam that shows the growth since then.
as for the following pics i guess ill have to continue with the webcam until i can get a new cam or fix the old one. the other cakes have no activity as of yet so i just have the one cake here in pics so far.
ive been told that i put the cakes in upside down, haha. but i guess that wont make any difference so its fine.
