According to Mykoweb, those Shaggy Manes are "choice edibles". Did you cook them?
That's actually two pictures of a lone mushroom I found. Since it was alone I didn't pick it but if I'd found a lot of them I'd have taken a few to cook (at least after getting a 100% ID, even though it seems obvious what mushroom it is)

Went out to some patches with @cro today, one is coming up beautifully, not much else though. We did find a few new patches, but they were pinning so we left them. Methinks this rain is really going to get things going!

I keep finding pins to small sized mushrooms that look exactly like the cyans in the above pictures. But they don't bruise blue. Is this because their too young, or because its the wrong species?

Nice pictures, i just joined shroomery but ive been hunting maybe 5 years now. Im in North Washington but grew up in seattle. Ive gotta find new hunting spots. What part of PNW do you live in? im just wondering if the rain here was substantial enough to make it worth my while to drive out to the woods or whatnot.

Your question is against the rules- when someone has found something, we will know. I doubt anyone reading this is holding back.

I'm guessing when mushroom season starts greatly varies to how cold where you live is and the amount of rain you've been receiving

It certainly does!
Washington usually starts 1-2 months ahead of the Bay Area, CA. Though, Washingtons season starts to slow down around December, when frost hits, and the Bay Area season often continues into Spring if the rain continues.

So we've had a ton of rain lately and i decided to go out to some spots and i found 10 cyan pins popping out. First find of the season, pretty excited. Maybe I'll get some pictures up.
