as far as i have read, standing water on the cakes is a bad thing, its an invite for contams. misting is to keep humidity up in the fruiting chamber. Never missed directly onto cakes.
If u get some perlite, fill the chamber up with damp perlite so u have about 3-4 inches this should keep ur humidity high enough. Dont forget to give ur chamber fae.
misting 4 times a day is plenty.
