I heard some amazing testimonials on the pleasures of sounding by a chat friend of mine so I will probably will give that a try myself if I can find a suitable sounding rod. You don't want to use something that splinters or snags when in there

my freshman year, chuck palahniuk came to the bookstore on campus. he read a short story call "Guts", it was new then. in the story, a kid's brother went to saudi arabia in the army, and saw some sounding rods and told his brother about them.
the 13 yr old brother was intrigued, and he got high and horny and wanted to try it. but he didn't have a rod... so he took a melting candle, and rolled the wax into a thin wax rox and started going at it. in the heat of the moment, the wax slipped out of his hand, down his urethra and eventually ended up in his bladder. over time, salts accumulated on the wax and fucked up his bladder, landing him in the emergency room.
based on a true story.
