 Substrate Jar Lids

Hey Everybody. After my first round of substrate jar sterilization, the tyvek I had used for a filter was showing signs of rust from the jar lid. Is it acceptable to use these again despite the small amounts of rust or do I need to re-drill all new lids? Thanks!

if anything, use a wire scrubber where its rusty. should be okay for a few more rounds :P but if ya are willing to toss up a few dollars you can get new lids from the grocery store.

Or just get the plastic lids and not have to worry about it anymore.

Or don't use Tyvek or Polyfill. Just cover the jars with a double folded Alu-Foil.I store my big bag of Polyfill in the basement ( picture above), because I do not need it any more.
Big holes in the lids of the substrate jars are not an advantage. And if one uses Polyfill the holes got to be big. Right? You need tools in order to make those big holes. Right? Why not just perforate the lids with a nail and the help of a hammer?
