If it small enough to fit in the fridge, dunk it in there like a cake,if not weigh it down and leave it under a slowly running faucet for 4 hrs

I dunk casings in between flushes. Just put it in the sink and run cold water over it for a while, or fill it up, cover it and let it soak.
I don't dunk before the first flush- you shouldn't have too, the substrate should have plenty of water.

wutang said: well i cased the brf with 2 half pint jars. and the coir layer was about 5-6 cm's useing mexican dutch strain but hey i noticed that maybe i can dunk the casing for better fruits, i mean the same way you would dunk a brf cake. sorry i have no clue, anyone have any links or ways to dunk a casing? heres a pic tooken this morning
you should read into coir as a substrate to spawn to not as a casing layer..it has nutes in it,,,old school thought..look at peat verm casing layer and as far as dunking a casing just do like what was posted and you will see MUCH bigger fruits but fewer pins..at least that what happened to mine

oh lol that was dumb, i should have mixed spawn with coir, not case with it. my mistake well some school near my house had some straw and I took it, so maybe a spawn made of grain/vermiculite/straw/coir and just use a vermiculite casing? maybe this will work better?, lemme know if it sounds good and it SHOULD yield bigger shrooms with grain. brf always made babys

OH check this out, i made a brf cased with verm, thats it, and it grew these monsters that are my biggest mushroom yet
 maybe just luck?

no its not jus luck. brf is a proven decent performer. you just had bad luck and didn't really know what you where doing the first time around. congrats on the better growing this time around. keep on reading and you'll have more mush than you know what to do with.
I just dried 2 oz out of one of my trays the other day. it was a decent flush.
