What do you think about this mycelium?????

all of these can been seen in the grow log section under my ohhh so dirty log.
2 things i want to ask. first this mycelium has little white balls that form together and make little ball balls. if that makes sense, they are quite hard and smell just like magic myc. if you want i can get a better macro shot of it in the day. over time it goes from white to brown....dead? but it does not turn to mush it hold shape (not hard either).
at the back of this one

now question umber 2. why is this so fucking fluffy? 3cm high in spots! its soft too. i tried riping some off and it became a thin piece of wet white rubber and smelled just like a mushroom....i assume it is because of humidity?

what are your thoughts?

your humidity is super high, with high condensation I would say. Myc seems to fluff out the more stagnant moisture is in the air I think, and it look like a lot of moisture is dripping onto the fluffy myc and matting it down.
more FAE! let those suckers dry out a bit.

p.s. is that millet witha casing layer?

they are outdoors without lids....its been raining heavy for the last couple weeks....the last 3 days we have gotten over 1 meter of rain! so there is really nothing i can do about the humidity and it has 24 hours of FAE.
so is it cube myc or no? or we dont know? it seems as such as it did (at times) have the usually mycelium creeping strands....but the balls i really dont get....

ya its not cool....the word flood never meant much until i moved here....550 mm on friday so unfortunately the humidity is up and its not going down till teh tail end of this typhoon pisses off.
but that still leaves the balls...whats up with those?

As Aspore said, the yellow spot is from standing water.
Why would you put it outside in a storm, when you're trying to iniate pinning? I don't know anything about growing outside, but I thought mycellium needs a 10 degree temp drop to start fruiting. Putting it outside in the summer seems the opposite of that.

Nope, my jars colonize at 75-80 F and fruit at nearly 85-90 F, no problem. Remember cubes are a TROPICAL strain!

these are contaminated grows, i dont want them inside. i am not trying to initiate pinning....they are only 5 or so days old after inoculation. they are not fully colonized yet either.
so the balls are from direct water contact?

i thought dropping the temps were to stop the mycelium from growing and trick it into thinking its time is near and needs to reproduce now. wasn't aware it was needed.

temps can vary it seems, but the humidity is the problem. Since its raining like a bitch over there, your RH is probably 100%, which is too much I think, the myc just tries to 'grow' into the air because it is saturated with water. Also, with standing water, it will cause your whole thing to go stagnant, and it is a lovely place for contams.
I would invert a clear tupperware tub with RR's 'shotgun' tek inplied upon it over these trays and maybe that will give it a nice 'stable' enviroment inside the tub, while still being outside. (10000 little holes all over to promote FAE but keep humidity high)
good luck though!
