Dear Moderators, you have moved my thread twice from this forum now. Should you attempt to watch it for even a minute - you'd be able to discern that the majority of its contents do well belong in this particular forum. Thank you!
Edit: The primary focus of this movie deals with why the world is becoming so fucked up in a hurry. I really liked it, and if you're reading this right now - I encourage you to set aside two hours of your time and attention to change your perception on things completely. And have a shroomy day

hmm, I just replied to your identical thread in the Pub.
Quote:
I found pretty much every single one of the claims in the first for of the documentary to be nonsense (eg. Isis was not a virgin, Jesus' birthday was not Dec 25th [Christmas was created 800 years after his time], there were never 3 [wise men except in pop culture]). The rest of the documentary is interesting, but the first part's complete bogusness makes me skeptical of it as a whole.

i havent watched it, but did this movie say jesus' birthday was on dec 25? most likely the only reason xmas is on dec 25 is because early christians borrowed the date from the roman holiday of saturnalia as a way to garner popularity in the pagan roman world.

Yeah, the documentary claims matter-o-factly that Jesus' birth date is Dec 25th and a whole bunch of other rediculous crap about Jesus, Christianity, and other religious figures - none of which is true in the slightest. It's clear that whoever made this documentary never even read the New Testament before. It uses quotes from the bible that don't actually exist in the bible, and makes astrological comparisons to features that don't exist in the bible (like 3 wise men = 3 stars [altho there aren't 3 wise men in the bible, that's a pop culture number]) in an attempt to "prove" that Christianity is based on astrology and egyptian mythology.
I didn't find a single truthful claim or comparison throughout the entire first chapter. It makes suggestions such as "water is mentioned in this part of the bible, so that signifies Aquaius" even tho that suggested comparison doesn't go on to mean anything further... or "the Virgin Mary is simply the constellation Virgo" - which again doesn't go on to mean anything further. Actually tho, Virgo was a virgin daughter, not a virgin mother, and there's nothing special at all about a virgin daughter. The "documentary" just pulls these comparisons out of the air without any intelligence to be found behind them.
When it rains it's Aquarius... Rain is based on astrology, wtf!

Seeing as how no one is going to take the time to watch a two hour movie -- particularly one that spends its first third or quarter or whatever talking (inaccurately, apparently) about the origins of Christianity -- without getting at least some indication of what political topics might eventually be covered, could you extend us the common courtesy of letting us know some specifics about what we should wait for?
Saying "this movie deals with why the world is becoming so fucked up in a hurry" tells us exactly zero. Give us some specifics. Does it talk about the Jewish conspiracy? The illuminati? The Federal Reserve Board? The Bilderbergers? The Rothschilds?
Does it discuss excess taxation? Drug prohibition? Islamic terrorists? The near complete takeover of academia by lefties?
Does it rail against Chimpy McBushitler and his evil minions (or puppetmasters, depending on your particular flavor of BDS) Rove and Cheney? Do the Reptilians get mentioned?
If you won't give us even a sketchy framework of the political topics covered in this magnum opus, can you at least link us to a website which does?

Well Phred, I have watched the movie twice because I like to investigate conspiracy movies for factual evidence (which most often they are lacking).
The first part of the movie focuses on the origins of Christianity. While it makes many false and exaggerated claims, it does contain some good info... but the point it is making as a whole is very much hurt by the obvious problems that have been mentioned.
The second part of the movie starts off on false flag operations, and ends up in 9/11 conspiracy. It is pretty much like loose change and other movies like that and deals with the same issues.
The third part is mostly about the rothchilds, international banking conspiracy and the fed and is similarly filled with a lot of misleading information, exaggerations and outright fallacies.

The 3rd part of this movie was the most intriguing. I have also watched a more in depth movie called money masters, which had a lot of the same information, and then some.
I don't know how anyone can not see the major problem with the fed.

He didn't spam them, he just kept opening thread after thread in this forum with nothing more than the title and a link to the film and I kept moving them to other forums because after watching the first bit I didn't see the relevance to politics or activism or law.
Now that adjust has explained it more fully, I guess it has to remain here, but only because The Shroomery doesn't have a Conspiracy Forum.

Maybe we SHOULD have a conspiracy forum. It will at least unclutter this forum of the neverending WTC demolition idiocy.

it's just a collage of lots of video clips, documentaries, speeches, news media photos, paintings, and very very low-budget graphics. theres some original content, but it really just sounded exactly like this documentary I've seen a couple years ago called "Where Was God?"
In fact, this film completely plagiarizes entire segments from "Where Was God," while distorting some of the "facts." (In quotes, since none of this can really be proven, enough to satisfy those who would say otherwise...)
Instead of watching this movie, which is still decent, I would suggest just watching lots of Jordan Maxwell movies, who was the first narrator (not the one that claimed Jesus was born on the 25th - Jordan knows better than that).
All that being said, if you can identify the mistakes as you watch this video, then it's actually pretty good. It draws additional links, and provides clips / info taken from other sources I wasn't familiar with.
I'm disappointed with the production quality, and the obvious plagiarism, not just of content - which isn't bad, but of entire segments and the overall structure. Despite all of that, I found it incredibly entertaining / informative (grain of salt-esque) and I'll probably watch it again.
For anyone new to this topic, again I would suggest checking out Jordan Maxwell.

I am not to well versed in the zeitgeist movement, I have some real major concerns with it. First off it seems to consolidate all power to some supreme computer thats going to delegate all the resources of the world. They seem to think this removes the human element, and thus is more fair for everyone. What it fails to mention is humans have to program computers, we don't have AI. Sounds like the ultimate platform for tyranny to me. The computer has deemed it so!
Again though I am not terribly well versed in the "movement", so I welcome you to prove me wrong( i actually always do). Thanks for reading.

you can all live in space age flats if you want. I'll stick to living out in the middle of nowhere, where you take responsibility for your own actions rather than having a computer doing it for you.
Also it was weird reading this and seeing discussion there should be a conspiracy forum. I only later looked at the dates.
