 Casing with 50/50 Composted Cow Manure/Verm E.Coli risk?

I am casing 3 cakes with 50/50 mix of verm/Composted, Organic Cow manure. Will the Mycelium Simply grow through it, or feed off of it and grow a bigger network? Know what I mean? And is there a risk of contracting E.Coli from the cow dung? it was composted, whatever that means...Thanks

a casing mix is NOT supposed to have nutes in it,it should be a sterile non nutritious mix...look up the 50/50 + ..its what i have always used with great results good luck

...as I understand it, the 50/50 is referring to 50% verm and 50% peat moss (or something similar). is that correct?

right, i am attempting to do bulk with 3 experimental jars. I sterilized in oven the 50/50 Composted cow manure w/verm and will crumble 3 cakes into a small lasagana pan like a casing. Cover with a top in the dark and probably get a bulk substrate?

The latter. Which makes the entire concept of casing to provide moisture completely pointless, and adds time to your grow.

You have one. You're just trying to use it as a casing. Combine the cakes with the cpoo/verm. Allow it to colonize, then use an actual casing layer.

Yeah I was going in that direction. I used the word casing, but understand that what I am actually attempting is a bulk growth type thing....
