I'm pretty sure they do but I doubt mouse-corpse extraction of DMT is a very efficient way of obtaining it.

Yeah, the common name. You actually can get one (~$150 if I remember my friend correctly) through a pet store. EXCEPT if you live in DC (maybe other states too), where our toad is going to be illegal.

yeah Bufo Alvarius does not produce n,n-DMT it produces 5-meo-dmt. Its different.

now i havent done 5-meo-dmt but ive NEVER heard it called similar. Far from it.
Also the toads have Bufotenin in them which would effect the trip as well.

I understand you have to "milk" the toad's venom gland and then do an extraction of the venom itself. You can smoke the results.
Someday, I'm just gonna get some plain old regular DMT from acacia root bark or something... can't wait.

if you really want 5-MeO-DMT then just look for a research chemical vendor. you can get it for around $45 a gram. you only need a couple mg to trip.

why yes but not many vendors (i only know of one) are actually in the united states. Couple in Canada and many in asia but they all sell to the good ol U S of A. via the internet.

yea I only know of 1 vendor in the US
and no the theory hasn't been proven. he tested human brains found nothing. in order to find it the brains would have to be cut open I think within 20 minutes after death, so he never really got the chance to prove it. however the theories he propose seem very logical.

while he didn't there were some tests done by germans that found dmt in brain tissue but not the pineal gland. There wasn't near enough to have a psychedelic experience though. Use the search engine someones posted about the study on here before.

Regarding DMT vs. 5-Meo-DMT, I've taken those a number of times and in my experience they are relatively similar. The only other hallucinogen I can think of which was in the same ballpark as DMT was DPT.
For me DMT produces more intense distortions and/or hallucinations than Meo, but has less of an effect on my emotions and non-sensory cognition. The general nature of the experiences is the same; it's just that with 5-Meo-DMT, the volume of the visuals is turned down, while the volume of thoughts and feelings is turned up.
Some day I'd like to try both of them together.

DMT is definitely produced by the human body, we just don't really know where. There's rather limited evidence that it's produced in the pineal gland, but Strassman clearly likes the idea because of that organ's previous associations with mysticism.

not only mysticism, but science, because other chemicals in the pineal (seretonin, melatonin...) are very chemically related to the tryptamines. and the fact that beta enzyme releasers/blockers control these chemical outputs shows how DMT could possibly be produced there, because these enzymes supposedly block DMT secretion, except for at certain spectacular times in life when the DMT is so much it breaks down this enzyme wall and you get a full blown dose of pure DMT.
the theory makes perfect sense to me. just wish it could be proven
