IMO it reminds me of what new england and indy did last year, taking joseph addai and lawerence marooney.. i think kenny irons might be a nice counter punch to rudi johnson, although cincy still has chris perry i believe.

Most notable moves so far:

DET taking Johnson instead of Thomas
CLE with the best first round of any team
Quinn dropping to 22
NE bringing in Randy Moss for pretty much free (4th round pick)

Troy Smith, Chris Leak, and Darius Walker still not picked.

Oh man, that's awesome with Moss, I hadn't heard yet (just woke up, haven't watched SportsCenter or anything in a while.)

I still think everyone is going to see that Calvin Johnson was worth it, regardless of how many WRs they've taken over the years.

Quinn dropping to 22nd still makes sense, kind of. Miami and Detroit passed on him thinking they could get one of the second tier QBs in the second round, and they did. Cleveland passed because they just have so many needs to fill it's ridiculous. He may be better than the 22nd prospect, but you can't always just draft on talent, you gotta fill needs, and no of the other teams between 9 and 22 really needed QB help.

With the Lions being my hometown team, I don't think any of our receivers are going to see their potential until we get a better offensive line. If we can pick up a few decent linemen to fill gaps, our QB's would be able to get them the ball better.

I really hope Stanton pans out. It would be good for the Lions if we could get a hometown player who can end up being a decent QB.

Troy Smith went to Baltimore at the end of the 4th... and depending on how Russel pans out, Oakland might have a solid draft, they picked up Michael Bush from Lousville to open the 4th round.

I wonder why NO took Pittman. It'd be nice to see Smith learn and grow under McNair, but I don't know how likely that is. Possible, but I guess only time will tell (how cliche)

I didnt even notice the Bears picked up Garret Wolfe out of NIU the other day...

He was a pretty good back when he wasn't hurt. Thats a great pick up late in the round. I hate to say I dont like the Bears draft, because I'm willing to give the GM the benefit of the doubt after a few of the pick-ups he's made...

Yeah I'm real interested to see how Wolfe will pan out. I don't know how well he'll do, but it's possible.

idk, IMO Wolfe is too small to be a great back, he could be a special teams player.. hes almost teddy ginn jr. fast.

I agree with that.

I dont think the Bears are looking to make him an every down back though. We have Cedric Benson to pound 'em inside, but I think Wolfe will fill the Thomas Jones type role; a fast guy who can hit the corners and catch a few. (Although I dont actually know Wolfe can catch...)

We got Greg Olsen too...Awesome TE from Miami...
