I have a thing for psychedelic quotes and philosophies. These are just a few I've gotten from various places, a lot from people on this forum.

Shrooms are awesome for getting back in touch with your root.
LSD is for reaching out with your branches.
The way I see it: psychadelic drugs are not a vacation from reality, they are a vacation to reality.
The chance of me going insane off mushrooms always seemed less likely than going insane without them.
All I know is that I'd rather take a pile of physically harmless mushrooms every couple of months to bring me back to nature and the universe, than to chug a large cup of coffee every morning just to have the energy and will to go to school/work.

A thumprint doesn't open the door of perception it blows it off the hinges.
I think of it this way: Sobriety is a six sided cube. Each angle representing one facet of life, society, the tangible world, your thoughts, etc. On mushrooms, you feel like you are interpreting about 20,000 angles at once... The fun part is that you can keep up.

That was my friend when we were on some da vinci acid at the beach. He had this real sort of shifty eyed look on his face, said that then took 2 steps to the left. We asked him why the hell he did it and he said "ijust felt real uneasy standing in that spot"
plus, about the pizza connecting you to reality, I know what you mean. I did the same with a blanket once, and a door handle. Like trying to hold onto reality, but I should have just let go.
