Yup. They're also playing some shows with the remaining members of Wu-Tang. All this got announced 2-3 months ago. I'll be seeing them at 'chella.

I wonder what they'll end up conflicting with. So many of the bands I'm going to coachella for are on sunday.

wow thats some crazy shiet right there!!!! dunno where i been, havent really listened to the radio since 10,000 days came out, pretty sad, think thats their last album.
anyways yah tix are on ebay for about $200 each. considering ;p

That's funny..every year when me and my girlfriend go out we stay at that swanky resort but we never have time to chill out there at all cause we run around 12-12 seeing bands. This year if there isn't anything I want to see on Sunday until like 2 or 3, which seems likely since the bottom part of the bill looks slim to me, definitely gonna get in some poolside bloody mary time.

Well for Sunday, between me and the wife we're wanting to see:
Air
Infected Mushroom
Crowded House
Richie Hawtin
Placebo
Explosions in the Sky
CSS
and maybe RATM
I don't think it will keep us there all day (though CSS will likely be early) but it's more of a back-end loaded mess of possible conflicts. At least for IM I'm pretty sure they're closing out the night and maybe RATM will be 2nd from last on the mainstage. The rest is up in the air though.

You should check out Ratatat as well while you're there.
I want to see all those bands you listed except Richie Hawtin, Placebo (snooooore), and Crowded House...and I think they'll all be later in the day.
Sunday looks cool cause it seems really mellow, especially between Air and Explosions in the Sky. I'll be so wiped out from the combination of desert heat and fierce Bjork-related dancing that on Sunday I'll be so glad to just chillllllllll.

Have you been to Coachella before? The "headliner" doesn't always play the last set on the main stage.
Two years ago the Cure was the headliner for Sunday, they played at 9, and then Black Star, who were billed beneath them, played at like 10.
They do this for traffic management - they know some people come specifically to see certain headliners, and they know if they put them on slightly earlier they can get a better traffic flow out of the event site.

Gonna be chillin for css? Hah! They're such fun live. We saw them open for Ladytron and though they were good too, the clash of on-stage style was pretty jarring. Though css came out at the end of ladytron's set and rocked out, it was pretty funny, they were completely wasted (celebrating the end of that tour w/Ladytron I think).
So, no Infected Mushroom for you? Also, Hawtin is more of a "check out" kind of set, I'd be fine missing him for something else if there was a conflict. Crowded House, same thing except the wife has to see them. Placebo I will enjoy pretty well if they are any good live.
I'm having just as much of a hard time figuring out what drugs to do with what bands and on what days, hah!
