Qi gong
    #6673017 - 03/15/07 02:10 PM (17 years, 17 days ago)

I have been practicing this art now for a couple of years and recommend this to everyone.

I haven't been able to study this art under any guidance and I am basicly self taught(books and instructional videos) but things that is has done for me is:

* Makes me feel very relaxed and in a good mood
* A better mental focus after exercising
* Making the walls and my surroundings "bend" and move in harmony with my breath and practice, my friend saw this too and was in awe. and of course this was after ingesting shrooms, i highly recommend this - Qi gong and shrooms takes you to a new level in your practice.

I was wondering about what you shroomerites think about this and what experiences you have had with Qi gong?(or Tai Chi)

I didn't watch all of the video, but the martial arts I practice seem to incorporate many similar movements. Eastern-style stuff is the best, and yeah it would probably really cool to do it on mushrooms.

What martial arts do you practice?

I use to practice aikido, and I found that Qi gong and it go together very well. train qi gong on days when there was no aikido training.

Yes, there is a point in all of my trips where I enjoy a tai chi, chi-gung, shamanic dancing session or a combination of these and other various styles and energy work.

My take on it is that the combination of the mushroom and the practice are completely synergetic and go hand in hand. The movements are flawless, all channels are open and I can say without hesitation the energy or form is 'doing me' rather then the other way around. It is like going to class or school by opening to the experience and letting go of the control we think we have which allows me to get trained proper moving, breathing, positions, asanas, mudras, chanting, singing etc. Absolutely brilliant, beautiful and always look forward to my next lesson! The plants are my real teachers.

Terrance McKenna talked about this on a YouTube video I saw, basically saying that the plants and psychedellic state is the engine to the practices, techniques and forms... Today we now have all the form practices and techniques which are shared around the world, just missing the engine.

qi gong at its high levels involves no movements. Through non action one disolves his past until reaching the true state of self. Release all things and all things become clear.

My father is a master of a Chi Kung system. I can personally testify to the validity of Chi force and its many vast benefits, both physically and mentally.

I tried some of the exercises in the vid but felt like I was doing them all wrong. Will you get the same benefits if you aren't a textbook example? I feel like I need a teacher.

for energy work teachers really are highly necessary,
perhaps not totally necessary
qi gong is perhaps simpler than taiji

he he thats a nice patch job. hes kinda got the idea to a great extent. tho hes missing that everything is a metaphor on every plane of existance and thats the mirror inwhich you can travel thru...

why can this super race be to aliens that came to the planet cause they werent aloud to have sex so they did it and eveyone is their retarded children that cause they left to explore the changed their dna to mimic their enviroment thus become shape shifting aleins themselves. cause they are always leaving home to try to fit in.and great mother/father. 2 hemaphrodite people had sex creating madness. they want it to stop cause if people inbread so much they will be recreated and everone will be them. and forget why they left in the first place.

so now shit everyone has there own time period that they did or didnt live in and want to reinact it over and over and over again and people came be visable ghost and see each others dreams cause we are all the same 2 people so we can see each others dreams. cause we are not those 2 people and say we arnt then me take thier dreams and spin it into our own. if you want to be em and cant understand em you dream of bloody murder.

Chi-Gong is like the chicken, Tai-Chi is like the egg. Chi-Gong has many more methods, whilst Tai-Chi focuses on perfection of method, rather than function.

thats why i constantly use everyone as a teacher but at the same time dont its a great system cause i already know how to do it naturally and eveyone does, infact you do it in your sleep or any life action.

I tried to get into Qi Gong, I really did. I got an adjustment from my Qi Gong instructor to allow the freer flow of qi, and practiced the forms with an open mind. Then after some time, I decided that I felt no change or improvement in my physical and mental state, and that the "qi feeling" is an illusion.
