Battle for sanity, all aboard!

Hey all I'm Jason and new to these kind of chats and very new to the world of mushrooms. Tripped for the 1st time last week, wow... In my opinion nothing prepares you for it, and like some, took more when I what I took to start was more then enough. So for 45 minutes I enjoyed the trip, the other 5 hours were a nightmarish consciousness. Panic and fighting off the trip was my main focus which in turn ruined my 1st trip. My title says it all, I was fighting for my sanity trying not to lose my mind. So I went from very inexperienced to a little bit more experienced on how to avoid having a bad trip. The night was terrible, everything that went wrong, went wrong. Yet I'm determined to do it again with all my new found knowledge and experience the beauty of it.

'fighting off the trip'
That's your problem right there. As soon as you stop going with the flow and battling for control you'll experience defeat. The mushrooms will always win, so let them show you what they want to.
Go with the flow and you'll be one happy Joe.
Awesome to hear that you're not going to give up though, because some people do and miss out on a whole lot.

Your 100% right I was fighting off the trip like you wouldn't believe because I had too much, it was too intense for my brain to handle. Now I really realize the importance of setting, people and every detail is so important thats why I'm not giving up because the trip was such a bust, but I know it can be so much more then what I went through.

Yes, setting is HUGE, most especially for your first time as you don't know what to expect.
At least now you know, and you've learned.
I look forward to hearing about another trip of yours, hopefully one that you thoroughly enjoyed, as that's what's supposed to happen.

That is one of the reasons I like salvia. I like how overpowering it is.
-------------------- Junkies United we stand , Devided we're sick as fuck.

"Hallucinations are something heroin users are not at all accustomed to," said Const. Conor King, Victoria police drug expert. "They react like you or I would react if we took Aspirin and all of a sudden the TV got up and started walking across the room."

Make drugs legal, or alcohol and tobacco illegal. Either way it's more fair.

Me to, salvia is beyond mushrooms and acid. Mushrooms and Acid transform this world and alter it. Salvia takes you to a different world/dimension/plain of existence where you can only comprehend what's there when your on salvia.
Mustnotbe, you should try back to back hits of salvia 20x. Like, as soon as your back to realirty from the first hit and can see this world again, get someone to shove a pipe in your face......hollllyy fuck.

the title is interesting all aboard suggests: multiplicities - person(alitie)s or entities ideas and challenges visions and experiences
a good trip is like a carousel ride and hellishly the ride can spin too fast.

It's funny you mention that because the title does have significance to me. It was about hour in a half in and I actually blacked out which is another story all in itself but horrible none the less. Right after that ordeal we got up and decided to take a cruise while playing some music. My cousin who just got the new Outkast CD had this one song called 'The Train', which was the first song I heard while tripping and he starts off by saying "All aboard!!!Or are all y'all board, it's good to have you all back now" it felt as if he knew we were tripping and he was taking us on a ride and right after he says that you hear a train horn and the train moving. I kid you not I was in that train riding with him, the song blew me away it was one of the highlights of my night I highly recommend this song to anyone tripping, the song itself is awesome but it has an Indian guitar I believe as well as other funky sounds. But like I said, your on the train while hes singing. Few added notes on songs I liked and also highly recommend are: Zero7, Passing By Zero7, somersault Zero7, speed dial number 2 I know most people don't know this stuff, I believe its from London? Give them a try tell me what you think. I thought they were pretty trippy and cool the few moments I did enjoy on my 'night of terror'. Again though maybe it's just me but 'The Train' is the song I'll never forget it was profound for me.

Ha. This made me laugh from my past expiriences. I agree. The will get their point across one way or another.
Mushrooms, LSD, and the Grateful Dead changed my life.
My first trip was a total freakout panic paranoia ordeal. It was great, after the fact. My first great trip was when I was watchin Weather Report Suite on the Grateful Dead Movie. I have never seen a band perfom as well as I did that night. After that night I listened to the Dead for well, since. I like other stuff but nothing is like the dead. That's when I met my best friend, LSD. Not really, but seriously though. Mushrooms keep my soul and morals intact while LSD brings out the animal in everyone. If your new to tripping realms, as they have said before me, take care in setting and especially who you trip with. I suggest for a sure good trip grap you best trippin buddy a drive to a good national park in your state. (or state park) and hike all day on mushies. You'll be thankful later.
