I guess you'll find out if your liver fails. That was stupid, eating a mushroom you're not 100% sure about. An Amanita, at that.

when i said i "ate it" and it "tasted good" i was metaphorically speaking about the way my heart felt when i found it, i would never swallow an amanita!!!

my guess is amanita hemibapha. We need toxicman here he is quite the authority on Amanita's, just watch yourself with amanitas a delicious mushroom is not worth the visit to a hospital even experienced hunters make mistakes.

The white man can never win another war on the ground. His days of war, victory, his reign -- his days of ground victory are over. Can I prove it? Yes. Take all the action that's going on this earth right now that he's involved in -- tell me where he's winning. Nowhere.
Why some rice farmers -- some rice eaters ran him out of Korea. Yes, they ran him out of Korea. Rice eaters with nothing but gym shoes, and a rifle, and a bowl of rice took him and his tanks and his napalm, and all that other action he's supposed to have and ran him across the Yalu. Why? 'Cause the day that he can win on the ground has passed.

You don't say where you are, so it's tough to say which of the many similar species you have.
A. caesarea is only from Europe, near the Mediterranean.
In the US there are a bunch of closely related species, many of which have not yet been published.
TRC is in the right direction, in that your mushroom very probably belongs to the group of species around A. hemibapha, although that species is from southeast Asia. As a group they are referred to as the Slender Caesars.
The US species you're likely to have is something close to A. banningiana (a provisional name that has not yet been published). Another close species is A. spreta.
The US species of Caesar's Mushroom are still very much under study and it will probably be several years before we have a reliable list of species to be found here. Obviously, since we don't have a species list yet, there have been no studies at all on the edibility of these mushrooms. If you decide to eat them, be *extremely* cautious, and be certain to cook them thoroughly.
Happy mushrooming!
