 zodiac influence

does anyone think their zodiac or horoscope sign thing has any influence on your trips? i'm an aquarius (water bearer, things to do with water) and i often see things turn to water or something seeming wet when it isn't.

I know exactly what your talking about... Im aquarius also and most of my trips involve sensations of waters flowing.

this can also be because you interprete your experience in advance because you know you are an aquarius - this means that if you didn't know that or didn't put much value in it you wouldn't see this effect.
A zodiac influence which could have influence imo would be full moon or the new moon (because of the water attraction thing).

I've seen the same thing, but I'm no aquarius.
I agree with alphatrion's statements. Our experiences are always filtered through
our personal models of reality, and hence will be coloured by the many things
which make up our psyches. Your perceptions of your experiences may
very well be because you know your are an aquarius.

i've taken that into consideration. but im not thinking about myself being a aquarius at the time im tripping. i know what you are saying about my psych. my thoughts almost acting as a placebo and being under the influence, the rest of my body follows the hallucination....and i also know the water phenomenon is a common experience. just wondering
what are some other signs that could possibly influence?

no thoughts of me being an aquarius are ever put into my trips. only recently have i put the two together, but have been experiencing the water phenomenons for a long while.
i know exactly what you are saying also. but i never have put any value into me being an aquarius during my trips.

I don't think you have to be consciously thinking about something for it's influence to
filter up to your conscious mind. The shrooms can activate neural pathways
that are not normally 'open' at the same time as others. That's part of the beauty of
the experience, you mind makes connections that can surprise, puzzle, entertain
you, and/or leave you totally in awe at the depth of your realization.

i know this man. but only until recently i thought about the aquarius thing. im not into horoscopes or anthing like that. i didnt even know what my horoscope meant or what my sign was about until yesterday when i read my horoscope on aol. i know about the filters bypassed and what psilocybin does. everything you have said, i know man. these are just thoughts that have come to mind and thats why i posted them here in the spirituality forum. i'm seeking a philosophical meaning, not the scientific.

Yeah... I'm a Sagittarius and whenever I trip I whip out my 250lbs longbow and start shooting at the Guide...
Sorry guys: I KNOW from science that even the act of blinking your eyelids has ramifications troughout the Universe, (Gravity-waves) but I don't believe Astrology & Horoscopes are more than an Oracle like the Tarot. It CAN work, but probably has little to do with those particular stars that seem to form groups from our viewpoint.

I'm aquarius too, and something I didn't know until a little quite recently is.. did you know the element for aquarius is wind/air?? Strange but true. Aquarius may be the water bearer, but we associate best with the air. We keep things from getting stagnant.

is it similar to the effects i get when looking at some 2-d surfaces? The tend to become 3-d... and sometimes it looks like some layers are drifiting in a translucent fluid - which our minds understand as usually water.
Maybe this means that your senses are noticing a new spiritual world with new dimensions... maybe it means your some areas of the brain that are responsible for depth/structure perception are out of order and your hive mind is trying to just interpretation in. Or maybe you are under the influence of you natal sign.... best way to find out is do a research at the shroomery to let people describe their visual distortions they get on mushrooms.... an correlate them to their natal signs (or better even all of their horoscope entries - see my posts about astrology) without telling them that you are looking for this link (otherwise the data would be unreliable because people can unconsciously filling it in).

I'm not about to sink a whole lot of faith into astrology, but always I've loved fire.. oranges-reds-yellows and the intese blue energy of fire.. nothing as beautiful and powerful as fire.....
When I trip, lights look like orbs of fire, friends look as though they are melting from heat, and are red and sweating even though they are not at all, trees blowing in the wind looks like flames dancing in the air.
The interesting thing is, I never knew that aires was a fire sign until quite recently... All these instaces of firey hallcucinations took place before I found this out, and still do.
I'm putting it on coincidence though.....
Everyone loves fire, right?
