1st Timer, Golden Teacher Strain In Myco Farm

Hi Shroomery Guys!
This is my 1st attempt at growing shrooms, i have had some wonderful trips and experiences on this magical Entheogen. I am using the myco-farm kit, as it seems pretty simple for a beginner (www.myco-farm.com) and i am using a spore syringe of Golden Techer.
Basically i have sterilised the needle and injection patch and injected the spores into the rye seed medium.
Now my question is, where do i store the kit while the mycelium grows throughout. I realise it needs to be in a dark place that is warm. What would happen if it was just kept at room temperature (20C), in a cupboard? would the growth be slow?
What temperature does The Golden Techer Strain require during mycelium growth?
Any help/tips would be awsome.
Regards
Boggy

all cubies like 82-86 degrees farenheit for colonization and 74-78 for fruiting.
should be fine in a cupboard.

Thanks newguy05, i have a digi thermometer next to them in a cupboard ill keep an eye on the temps.
What happens if the temp is lower? does it just slow the mycelium growth?
Is Golden Teacher a good strain to grow/take?
Thaks again

golden teacher is one of the favourits with cultivators... check out the link in my sig (europe) and check out the strain list for some basic information about this strain
i've inoculated my jars about a month ago and they still have'nt finished colonizing (though most are around 90-95 %) i should also mention the spores were rather old so that could of been a factor too but i'm assuming it was the cold temprature (around 20-18 C)
if you're not in a hurry there's nothing wrong with waiting on them! though if it takes too long it's best to dunk the cakes after they finish colonizing and befor you fruit them
good luck and welcome to the shroomery!

golden teacher is a great fruiter. it puts off a lot of fruits with medium sized caps. very easy to grow and the reward is worth the wait. voted the most favorite strain by newbies yesterday. Check it out
lower temps = slower colonization.

pitch the kit up on your hot water heater. its a great place for "free" heat. other sources include computer monitor wireless router and cable modem. im a fan for free warmth. but my place is normally around 19 degrees C so a few degrees is nice.

Thanks for the Support and information
Im juust going to have to be patient.
I have put the kit in a black bag on a shelf in my grow cupboard (im a cannabis grower at heart) the temp is at a constant 83 deg, should be perfect colonizing temperature.
is there anything else i need to know?
Thanks

Really easy to use, loads of pins and hopefully a great flush.

Hi Nuclear_Shroom,
it was grown from a syringe, i dont have access to the equipment needed to sterilyse medium to grow in. this seemed the most convenient way to grow some shrooms for me and some friends this summer.
Peace

after the caps are horizontal, or you can pick them as soon as the veil breaks. people claim they're potent if the veil is unbroken or just after it opens...but people claim alot of things

yeah, but "too long" is usually days after they open i'd go ahead and harvest those bitches just pull everything out no matter how small, rehydrate the bag if possible (i have no idea what the status quo is for bags. maybe recase it? *shrug*), and wait for the second flush

oh cool, the casing seems quite thick still, there is plack powder over some of the lower shrooms, im guessing the bigger ones have released their Spores, does this mean the mushrooms are inedible?
I have cropped the lot, the surface of the casing layer also has quite a few spores over it. is this bad?
The brick is sitting on perlite that has beed soaked with water, is this enough to rehydrte the cake?
Peace

No to all of your questions and you shouldn't bump a thread 2 hours later, especially when most people are sleeping or working at this hour
