Why is it that some people smoke pot with no sense of moderation whatsoever?
"Man, I smoked 10 blunts last night..."
why? one would have done you just fine?
There is only so high you can get. Smoking beyond that point is pointless. The only thing you are accomplishing by oversmoking is damage to your lungs and building your tolerance.
Me, I sit on a mountain of pot, and yet I smoke probably less than a gram a day. Other people come over and smoke more in an hour than I smoke in a week!
what comes up, must come down. If you do not acknowledge this, you are doomed to be a junkie, forever chasing the elusive dragon.

well the advantage with pot is that it ISNT crack and the comedown isnt that bad. Don't you think it's fun to smoke blunts? Doing anything with a blunt in your hand makes it better : D However I agree with you for the most part, some people smoke way too much wasting weed.

A friend of mine easily goes through 3-4g of weed a night after work. On an average night, I may smoke about, .5g (half a joint, I roll it with a roller, and they tend to come out at around 1g of weed) -- now and then if i started smoking early, I may smoke a whole joint, but typically a joint will last me two days, if not a bit longer.
only time I smoke more, is if I'm comming down from E or something, or while tripping.

IMO 1 gram of pot per day is alot. But that depends on if you smoke all day or just a lot at night (or noon if that's your thing). Smoking all the time but smoking less when you do is still crackhead behavior IMO.
I have some girlfriends who are high ALL DAY. They probably go through a 1/8oz-1/4oz each week. I smoke a half gram per day on average but now that its summer I may up that amount  .
Anyway, you can get high off a few hits or a bowl or whatever then smoke again in an hour or so when the buzz is fading. No need to puff blunts 24/7.

they smoke alto ether because its shitty weed or because they think that the more they smoke the higher they will be, its just as stupid as thinking that if the blunt burns slower you will get more smoke out of it than if it burned fast (lots of my stupid friends think that)

Its a childish behaviour. Most people grow up out of. But normally not till early twenties. When and if they figure out they can't function as a "normal" human being. That and for the excuse, I'm too fucked up to bother communicating but if everyone else is fucked up like me it's all good.

Im a 24 yo "normal" and functional daily smoker. 1 joint last a couple days but if GF comes over it goes away pretty fast.

Hey Doctor I agree with everything here.
Oh yeah remember one thing folks. Most people who say they smoked 10 blunts talked the talk but they didn't really walk the walk. He he he....I'd like to see em smoke 10 blunts of this

10 blunts in a row sounds like way too much to me, but I could understand 10 blunts throughout the day. When it comes to bong hits, all I need is one or two really good hits and I'm good.

I did infact smoke a qp back a long time ago. Atleast a good three zips of mids. Smoked it with a whole party till noone wanted anymore, atleast 10 ghati style L's

Last night was prob the most I've smoked in one sitting in a long time. Was home alone, BF was out of town for the night, and was the Season Finnaly of that 70s show -- went through about 2g + a bowl from the bong in the span of about 2 and a half hours, after having already smoked twice before in the day.
and - 'meh', getting so stoned your just blitzed has losts its appeal in me, I doubt I'll smoke that much in a day again 'just because' any time soon, much prefer a buzz from a few puffs here and there.

What? You never heard of tolerance??
If you smoke more, it will start to take more to get you to the same level. It's a vicious cycle that only ends up in smoking more than you can afford

I have some tolerance developed, i notice if i smoke several times in a day... at night i can't get higher and i can even get mild headaches. But my first smoke in a day always gets me high and very high. I remember reading sometime ago about "reverse tolerance" or something like that... If i don't smoke one day and i do the next one i get suuuper stoned. Anyways i luv maryjane.

I noticed that over spring break, our sack seem to get ALOT smaller when we let some girls have a smoke with us. They seem to smoking it quicker everytime I get around one.

haha last night i got invited to a blunt festival. Rolled over to my friends place where they had a buttload of some decent midgrades. On the table there was a plethora of blunts and large spliffs, i think the smallest one contained about an 1/8 of weed.
It was overkill, but it's a lot of fun to just roll up monster joints and pass them around.

I recently got back from amsterdam, and an associate of mine had given me his super joint - about 2 grams of hash and premium home grown grade hydro
needless to say i was very eager to smoke it, and decided to smoke 2/3 of it on the first night i was there
every time i blinked i thought i was warping, and appearing 10 feet further, and when i came home i felt incredibly shitty and ended up puking, but thats the only bad time ive had with weed

i love the first smoke of the day. i try to hold out as long as i can before smoking. the 2nd or 3rd smoke of the day just dont have the bang. unless you wait till your totally sober and smoke again. at least for me smokin while burnt just ends up in a more burnt. anyone else agree?

I had a steady ridiculous habit of marijuana, and have recently quit because of the overwhelming fog that has clouded my brain. I have a Volcano, and I would vape about 3-5 grams a night. I have also, had some health issues come up with me and my blood pressure (I suspect) and I am young, and I think it was due to my excessive marijuana use. Practice moderation and an excess of anything is bad, it was used as a "night ender". Withdrawal symptoms were fast and pretty amazing, considering its only marijuana, but like with a dependency with any other substance, if your body is used to getting a certain amount of a chemical at a time, the absence of it will make you strange. I am level headed, and an ambitious college student, but for some reason I got caught up in a want for just large amounts of marijuana at a time. BTW: with the volcano, there isn't a high threshold like when smoking, you only get higher. I have actually unintentionally passed out from a long session of constant vaping.

In very basic terms: thats because the THC receptors (that get "clogged" with THC) get a chance to reset when you sleep.

I find that false. I have smoked alot, and I get higher with each hit no matter how much I smoke. Hell, I smoked three good bowls while watching Pale Rider, and it felt like I was falling forward while I was sitting. Plus, it could be a habit.

I used to smoke it all day every day for years... just ended up being slow stupid and hungry all the time, the high ended up getting shitty... I rarely smoke it more than 2-3 times a week now and holy fucking shit do I get baked
not too mention I also think a lot clearer now, learn new things a lot quicker and have a lot more motivation
only time I'll smoke it more than 2-3 times in a week is to enhance other drugs, or ease the comedown

Smoking a gram for me in a day is a lot. On average, I probably smoke about 0.25 grams a day, more when I'm out of school probably, but still not much.

A gram as day is a lot, smoking pot EVERYDAY can take it's toll even at really small amounts.
I'm about 50 straight days vaping atm (0.25g at night), it's really pissing me off, my high is nowhere near exciting... but I get home from work all stressed.
I really need to have a few sober days

smoking pot every day CAN become a bad habit...it can be medicinal, but even then, if used in moderation each day...smoking all day every day just becomes ridiculous
anyways the real reason I am posting in this thread is to say that smoking infrequent enough not to have a tolerance is  and absolutely worth it. It can definitely be a full-blown incredible journey in itself, by itself. Smoking everyday however, can range from meh to great, but it's never as mindblowing as MJ can really be
