So I've been medicated for 1.5 years now after a manic episode. I was diagnosed as Bipolar I and I am on Lithium(300mg AM, 600mg PM), Depakote (500mg PM), Welbutrin(300mg AM), Provigil(200mg AM), and Ambien (10mg PM as needed, not very often). I have tried pot pre-drugs and post-drugs, and I haven't seen a difference other than my own skepticalness making sure nothing is going wrong. I feel I am in a good state of mind now; I am doing much better, I am stable, things are improving.
I have never tripped on shrooms before, I have only smoked a good amount of pot. I want to try shrooms, but I am doing my research first. I want to make sure there won't be any bad interactions with the drugs I am on. I feel I can handle them mentally, but I just want to make sure there won't be any chemical problems that I would have to deal with. Does anybody know (for any or all of the drugs listed above) any bad interactions, or anything I should watch out for, or just anything at all?
? ?

In general, hallucinogens aren't recommended for people with psychological problems.
In any event, he is on so many drugs, it would be difficult (if not impossible) to examine the number of interactions that may occur.

not too sure, but i think i have read that welbutrin will pretty much neglect most of the experience, ie little or no trip. also i think i have read that lithium will increase a trip, so much that it is overwhelming. again not sure on either of those, i do know that erowid has some good information on it.
about the bi polar thing, i would not recommend tripping but in my experience the only real bad thing about a bi polar person (my step father) is when he would deny things and lie. you seem like you know your self pretty well but make sure you do a lot of research and are 100% sure before you try some thing.

Thats a pretty heavy suite of medication your on, minus anything you self-medicate w/.
I would advise not doing mush at all, or if you do, start really low/slow. Although it may turn out you have to dose higher in the long run to blast through all that fog.
but yeah. Be careful, for your sake.
