I would like to think that i would have the stones to go out trying to kill the people that are trying to hurt me and my friends... but i guess you never know until it actually happens.

Well dont you think that if a person is going to commit suicide that they're pretty devastated in life. Its selfish to think that people that you care about should endure terrible emotional strife so you don't have to deal with their death. At least thats how I see it. I mean I'd hate to have a friend or family member commit suicide, but its their life.

That's why I haven't had kids yet...

I realize it's impossible, but I think we should respect a mature being's decision if it has been brought here (without consent) and then decides that it would not like to be here. Seems fair.

yeah if i were to kill myself id take some fuckers down with me

id go with an improvised explosive preferably c4 made out of the phosphate in bleach... and blow it up somewhere in public like a mall..the weekend before christmas just so i could give a little gift to a few victims families

All weapons have been confiscated. I mean, you could use improvised weapons I guess, but I consider that walking your way out of a question.

I never bought that argument that suicide was "selfish." Isn't the base principle of the modern, civilized world that you own your self?

I'd build a guillotine (sp?). Doesn't get much more painless than that.. perhaps a gun to the head.

Yeah, but it would be preferable to destroy your brain as totally as possible. If not, your mind (your consciousness to some degree?) would still hold a charge for a bit and you would have some kind of terrible experience of degradation. Like HAL in 2001.

Yeah, you would be able to blink approx 14 times before you would lose muscle control over eyelids, but we cant say how long you continue to see and hear. It could be some time. I mean, muscle control would be lost relatively quickly, but your brain would hold a charge for some time. I can imagine being able to have internal dialog:

"Oh shit. I can't move anything. Fuck! I'm dead! Oh god. Oh god."

And then, as the charge in your brain dissipated, you would slowly lose more an more of your mental function...truly terrible.

I had a close friend put the barrel of his 10ga shotgun between his eyes, reach down and press the trigger with his thumb.

Blew his brains all over the ceiling and wall of his bedroom.

All because his totally hott blonde g/f was cheating on him with everyone he knew (more in his mind than actually) but she was sleeping around a little.

The only people who felt anything from his action were his family and friends.

I've been in states where I've wanted to do myself in.

Don't take that the wrong way, I'de never actually do it.

But if I did, Nitrous Oxide suffocation would probably be the most painless way of going out. Just fill a bag with the stuff and tie it around your neck. No breathlessness, you'd just pass out and die.

i'd od. that's probably the best and most painless for all concerned.
if there is a best way.
thing is times i tried it i only wake up with a hangover.j/k.or not.

uh, I've never tried.

Closest I've come is telling on myself to my mom, that I already had a noose tied to the rafters in the attic. Yeah... I just couldn't bring myself to it, I was quite depressed at 15 but not enough to put my family through the trouble.

Now I've got life by the balls. Motivation...

See, the thing is though, after you are dead...you arent around to appreciate/consider other's pain. I meant the suicid commiter's level of pain.
