Hey I grew this one time on some macaroni I left in my kitchen.... I went away for the weekend and when I came back , this was my surprise in the kitchen, after about 3 days

I think that's cobweb mold (the bigest one), i allready had the pleasure to meet the "nasty".

delysid, i was in a rush and had to make my flight :)
I was maybe thinking of re-heating them upon my return... too bad...

Those are definitely penne rigate, also known as mostaccioli. Rigatoni are cylindrical while penne are bias cut so they have little points like quill pens. Hence the name.
The pom-pom on the other hand, I can't quite place.
