good point. I just finished my first jar making process and think it will go well. I did the birdseed method. Letting it sit over night for 24 hours and removing the floaters from the bowl. Ster. is a good thing. I used 2 cups of birdseed and maybe 3 1-4 cups of water. it seemed 3 was a little too much. PC for about 45 minutes. Hopefully I might have started something that wont end up with a slimmy mess. thankx for all of the help.

Does your PC go to 15psi? many only go to 12 that I see. Also you do know that you start your time count when it is FULLY up to pressure.

Most come with either 5/10/15lb or 10/15lb weights. a few (in argos) come with 5/12lb weights.

Well, we'll see I sacrificed one and opened it to check moisture, to my surprise they were still damp to the touch. So I forced the others to condensate some and went ahead and inoculated them tonight. My syringes have been made for some time I'm so I should see something soon due to the well hydrogenated spores. I'll check Monday and get back. Later Pinky

Hexadec My Mantra Pressure Cooker Came with a 15lb only. Just for the hell of it I checked to see if they sold others and they only offer and 8lb weight. I kinda think mine's an oddball type compared to what I've seen in adds and on the shroomery. What brands make larger sizes Anybody?

like I said, This is my first time experimenting with the shrooms. Im trying to figure everything out. It was 2 cups of rye then 3/4 water with 45 to 55 minutes of pressure cooking.

Well seeing progress in cakes now unfortunately, 5 contamed, due to the syringes, but I should be OK. I hope they stop at 5 and they should if it was the one syringe I thought it was.
