Can you smoke shrooms and if so does it have the same effect as eating them?

I have heard that smoking shrooms will not work because it buns out the psilocin, but you could always trie it and leave us the result for future reference.

yeah i could see where people would say that.. yeah ill def try it when i get my first flush and tell people what happens

I have friends who swear it works. I am pretty sure that it is a waste either way. Eat, wait, enjoy.
I also hate the idea that when you smoke a cap you are probably getting hundreds of spores in your lungs (thank God for your good immune system).

No need to experiment when there are so many people that know for a fact that any effect felt from smoking shrooms is entirely placebo.
I can also say that some friends of mine tried it with some weed. They never tripped off of smoking it and they said that the taste of the smoke was horrible. I believe the words that one friend used was, "It tasted like smoking the greasy pubes of some crackhead."

Haha, I was also going to add that it smells like burnt hair and I seriously told the only person I saw first hand doing this, "Dude, its like you are smoking pubes; thats nasty!"

I know somebody who came down with a SERIOUS lung infection after smoking shrooms. I would not want spores that like warm, moist spaces with air exchange in my lung tissues where they get just that kind of environment.

ive heard it works from a few people. maybe it does, idk. but if it does break down in high temps, how come ive heard of people baking shrooms with meals?

What about vaporization? Lower temp, doesn't burn.

Yea I wouldn't think a vaporizer would work any better than smoking it with flame. Not to mention it would still taste like rotten ass. The only reason people can cook with shrooms without potency loss is keeping it a relatively low heat. ie: simmering to make tea instead of boiling.
