Hey, yeah, whatever happened to Sunset Mission(in relation to this thread I mean) we were talking bout Mushishi a while back
Im near the end of steins gate right now, dont have much time for anime these days, the episode I just watched was so boring
It was the third to last episode and they just talked about how they love each other so much and dont want to leave one another as well as the fact that they are virgins and are extremely shy and awkward; Iv seen too much of this sort of thing; "Welcome to the NHK for instance" although, NHK is one of the best anime I have seen, they just did it so right
Welcome to the NHK is also depressing, its like medicine with no chaser
it made me wake up for a minute; its one of the few shows that has made me feel really negative, the only other art that has been able to do such a thing to me is: 1984, Requiem For A Dream, and Spun

It had me in tears it, haven't been that moved by a show in a long while

Yeah, I'm very much enjoying Mushi Shi. The Traveling Swamp episode is my absolute favorite.
I doubt many people would like many of my favorites though.  Haibane Renmei, Aoi Hana, Usagi Drop, Fruits Basket, Hourou Musuko, Nana, etc. Mostly sappy slice-of-life kinda stuff.
But Noir is one that might be of interest to you guys. Great girls-with-guns style anime with an amazing plot that keeps you guessing, interesting characters, and great action scenes, and just tons of awesome.

I agree that HOTD is pretty shallow but I still liked it and found it entertaining.
If you like slice-of-life shit you'd probably like Nichijou. It's funny and has cool animation:

Hahaha, that looks amazing!  I'm definitely going to have to give it a watch. Looks quite a bit different to the slice-of-life that I've watched in the past, but it still looks adorable and hilarious.

HSOTD OTD I love zombies but they are much cooler to experience in my dreams, zombies are awesome if you experience the zombie world
28 days later on psyches and I thought I was there, or any of those sleepy nights where I awoke with my heart over pulsing from a zombie universe
Its just so hard to make a series with zombies, to keep it going(I lost interest in the walking dead) and yes, it's def a softcore porno
Did you see the extra episode that was released? It only has subs, no eng dub; its about the group ending up on an island tripping out on psychedelics and finding their dreams(hint, the main character thinks he is fucking the purple headed chick, turns out it's three zombies
And all the panties, really WTF is up with Japanese people and panties? They have laws over there to protect women from panty peepers/phone pic takers, and the stalkers have technology to disguise themselves(if you want to see the actual episode go download it from the pirate bay just make sure to run some protection like www.peerblock.com and checkout the computer tips section in my journal; always wear protection )
Ill make sure to watch that new season whenever it comes out(HSOTD I mean)

It took me a while to watch it, it's not very engaging(example of engaging: "Code Geass") as each episode is disconnected from the next; it feels like some class on how to think like a pharmacist
Haibane Renmei is okay but I prefer Serial Experiments Lain, it was made by the same dude; I was sober the first time I saw it(the whole series in one day, it's short) and it  took my brain to another dimension like this video

i tried the piracetam/choline stack a while back. it didn't work for me, so i went back to daily adderall usage. i have love-hate relationship with amphetamines. i hate them, but i need them to be successful.
for torrent trackers, I wouldn't use anything other then nyaa.eu or tokyotosho.info for anime downloads. or DDL (direct-download) them from the subber. no one cares if you download or torrent anime from these places because they only have anime and no mainstream movies that media moguls want to prevent you from pirating.
Suzuha Amane actually explained why she hated Kristina in the episode where Mayuri is first killed. Kurisu worked for SERN in america before she came to Japan, and in that world line she eventually goes on to work for SERN in the future after the dystopian society forms.

Holy christ, I'm tweaking myself, and reading your tweaked our ramblings really put me on a whole new level of speedy.
I don't think I'm going to be watching anymore HSOTD. I watched it with a friend of mine, and that's the only reason I managed to sit through as much of it as I did. Really isn't my thing.
Did you watch the whole Haibane Renmei series? I've never cried so hard to something on a screen in my entire life. Very powerful anime. It's slow paced at first, but it really picks up in the last 5 episodes. I watched the entire series in one sitting. It's my favorite anime of all time.
I did see Serial Experiments Lain as well, and it was incredible. Yeah, I'd definitely recommend that to everyone. Such an awesome headfuck of a series. He really was before his time with the whole "wired" thing.
I did see El Cazador De La Bruja, actually. Noir, El Cazador De La Bruja, and Madlax were three series that were made by the same guy to get his girls-with-guns fix. Noir was by far my favorite of the three, but the other two were great too.
Actually, someone told me about Texhnolize just a few days ago, and I hope to check it out soon. But right now I'm involved in 3 different mangas and an anime, so I have to wait until I finish one or two of them before I move on to something new. It looks pretty good though. I absolutely loved Ghost In The Shell, so if it's anything like that, I'm very excited to check it out.

I'm very confused.. AmbiDeXtrous? Is that an anime?
The girl in my avatar is Fumi Manjōme from the anime Aoi Hana. She's a quiet, shy, smart, glasses wearing high school girl, so she really reminds me of myself when I was younger. My best friend actually calls me "Fumi-chan" so I thought it would be an appropriate avatar.  Aoi Hana is a slow paced slice-of-life shoujo ai manga/anime about two best friends in two neighboring all girl high schools. It's a lesbian romance anime. Nothing crazy, no weird cat people or octopus chasing, just day to day life of two girls.
I can't find any clips from the actual series, but here's the opening:
Despite the mild nudity at the end of the OP, it's not a graphic series. Everything's tasteful and PG-rated.
Unfortunately the series isn't finished yet. Well, the anime is done, but a new chapter of the manga comes out every month. Eagerly awaiting the next one.  If it wasn't for the fact that it's incomplete, it would be my absolute favorite anime of all time.

YOu need to get yourself a PS2 and play some Persona 4. It's the only game worth playing. Fuck Skyrim and all the next-gen console bullshit.
I'm playing Catherine right now and that is really good too, but it''s not JRPG like the persona series. It's actually a horror puzzler! 
I don't know if any of you play anime games but the animation, story, and soundtrack are awesome:
Oh and Catherine is actually a fairly recent game for PS3 and XBOX360 if you have one of those consoles.
Catherine is great; Still nothing beats Persona 4 so I would get that over anything. You can get Persona 4 and a brand new PS2 slim for only $50 though, so it's worth it right there for that game if you don't already own a PS2. Persona 4 is also out for the older and newer PSP models.

AmbiDeXtrous means proficient with both hands, for ADX just sounds cool and the DeX makes me think dextroamphetamine while the trous makes me think nitrous
Ambi of course has a wide variety of uses as a prefix
remind me to download that show later when I get my HD reformatted, iv too much to download already(samurai jack and Deadman Wonderland); of course, you wont remind me, thats asking too much, and its slips the mind anyway in the constant bombardment of experience
Hmm, Haibenai Renmai(butchering  ) didnt make me cry, it just make me feel oddly humble
No, the only shows that have ever been able to make me cry are Steins Gate and Cowboy Bebop; Stein Gate in the episode called Opening Steins Gate when the Mad Scientist sends himself a time saving message from the future
Cowboy Bebop at the end right as the angels start singing for spike

the only show that has made my cry 's been Black and White
when the yakuza he trained kills him, Suzuki I mean
the dude is crying cause he has to kill his master with the art he was trained in and even though he knows hes about to die Suzuki gives him advice. The moment that hit me the hardest being the last glimpse of Suzukis eyes, like seeing straight into one anothers souls. Right after he says: "most importantly, love your wife and kid, cause all you need...is love"
