I've been meaning to make this post for a while now. Been busy with work/vacations and such.
It's that time of year, Spring/Summer and that means that the Cubensis and Copelandia are out.
Use this thread to post pictures of your finds! Be sure to tell where you found the mushrooms in your picture.
PLEASE, for the love of god, DO NOT ask for hunting partners or complain about your lack of finds
USE THIS POST FOR POSTING *PICTURES OF YOUR FINDS ONLY!!!*
Everytime we make one of these post we get someone wanting a partner or whining about how they havent found any. I'll be monitoring this thread. If you post something not relevant to the topic, it WILL be deleted. Fair warning
Now, lets see those Cubes and Copes!

Hey all! GREAAAAT NEWS! This is from South Florida, Although I have no pictures, I ventured out to a field, and actually saw the mushrooms from the outside of the fence! I couldn't believe it! I walked along the edge and was able to reach through and grab one, COPELANDIA CYANESCENS!!!! I went in through the gate, and just scoured the entire field (it was a very tiny field, about 4 acres only) and I came out with 40 grams (approx 40-50 actual mushrooms) of fresh copelandias! I picked everything I came accross and decided to filter through it at home. I found a bunch of inactives, but I just followed the old rule.... if it stains blue it is true, when in doubt, throw it out. I just cracked the stem a little bit and waited for a bluing.... all blue ones into one pile, all non blue ones into the trash. I don't have access to a good digital camera, so I am sorry I am not able to include photographs. That and they were eatin within 4 hours of being picked. I split the find with a friend of mine, and we each had a 20 gram fresh copelandia cyanescens experience. Very intense.
This is the first time I have actually found any mushrooms, and I have gone out every season for the last 3 years. It is so AMAZING to jsut go and pick it, and then turn around and see these little hovering discs all over the place... realizing the more you pick the more they pop up. It is quite an amazing gift.
So, take it from someone who was about to give up in frustration... I've tried hunting, I bought a grow kit, and no success for over 3 years. However, I went hunting yesterday and found those copes. It wasn't a crazy amount, but I was able to get two good high level doses out of it, and I dont think I'll be tripping again for a long time (it was quite intense.)
Never get frustrated when you go hunting! Just remember, rain is your friend, the cows are your friends, and always ask permission! They will almost always say yes!
I would never have found them without the help from the shroomery community! Trip safely!

Found these yesterday browsing through a perfect forested section of a cow pasture. They were glowing bright in the darkness of the forest canopy. Such a beautiful sight!! Going back again soon to try and find some more, I know they're out there! Good luck to all.

are those cyanescens? I thought they were very white and bruised blue. Also, I thought it was a little hot for copes right now.

Well, I've been hunting a few times before, but this is the first time I've actually come up with something active. Needless to say, I almost shat my pants in delight (even though to most people this is probably a miniscule find).
Anyway, I have 2 or 3 species here. I found a bunch of cubensis ... some that are clearly cubes and some that I believe are cubes that have just been through some rough times. And please correct me if I'm wrong and they're actually just a whole different species. I don't have spore prints, but if anyone thinks they could eye those out as weather-damaged cubes, then that'd be cool. If not, I'll probably toss them.
Besides the cubensis, I found what I know are not copes, but look similar. I'm assuming Panaeolus campanulatus, but it doesn't really matter; I'll probably throw them away because I know they're probably not active.
So enough chit chat ... here are some pictures:
Here is everything that was gathered, separated into groups.
This is one of the crappy looking dudes.
I got a little picture-happy with the largest one. I was very surprised to find this. And really fucking happy, too.
Another one close up.
This is the "clearly cubes" group.
And I should probably note that these were all found a couple hours southeast of Atlanta. Like I said, I know this isn't much, but I couldn't have found anything without the help of The Shroomery. <3
