smoke in dogs ear...
    #4114313 - 04/30/05 10:38 AM (18 years, 10 months ago)

My friend and me have an on going arguement, he says blowing smoke in a dogs ear gets them high. I say they work like we do and if you want to get the dog high give him the shotgun to his nose, not his fucking ears. He says, "oh but it works", and i tell him that if you blow weed smoke all over a dogs head trying to get it in his ears, some is bound to go in his nose. He also thinks people on the shroomery won't be able to know the answer to this, so if you have any factual medical proof that would be awesome.

Of course it does!  The smoke goes through the ear canal directly to
the dog's brain and out the other side!

edit:  I suppose it COULD work, since the mouth, ears,  eyes, and
nose are all connected in mammals.  The dog would have to be
yawning though, to open those eustacian tubes right up.

I have a friend who gets his cat high like that all the time, just blows one hit in its ear and it runs off going crazy. Comes back from more in a little while. Haha

I can see that as a success if you're planning on discovering an ear irritant for canines. But as far as getting it high, I wouldn't fucking bother. Tell your friend he's a dip.

Dogs have sensitive ears. Take a look at a dog ear, it doesn't always look too clean and they sure as hell don't like having them touched. I wouldn't want marijuana, or any smoke condensing on the inside of my best friend's ear. As far as their noses are concerned, atleast there's more mucus in there but I still wouldn't condone getting animals high against their will. If they come back for more, then use your best judgement but this is a pretty grey area.

As far as cats are concerned, catnip's part of the cannibicae family so it's no wonder why you can hear a story or two about a cat or kitten totally fucking up someone's grow. Some cats like to nibble or even eat buds too, yikes. My friend's cat always tries to come in the car when we hotbox but I don't know, I wouldn't get an animal high now that I'm older but if someone else does I'll just keep to myself and make sure they don't go overboard. :lipsrsealed:

tell your friend to quit being a dick. the smoke can ruin their ear drum and make them deaf.

A buddy of mine met some dudes in Canadia who did that to their dog! According to them: "It gets the dog higher!"

He just thought they were silly Canadians... never heard of that anywhere else until this thread.

Yes, it works. Works on cats, too. To avoid freaking them out or doing any damamge you need to be gentle and exhale slowly. But it works.

I don't know how you tell how high your dog is, but both methods should work, although most dogs will have a fit if you try to blow smoke in thier ears. I know my friends dog likes to get a little smoke blown in her face though, she sits and chills next to us when we are smokeing and we just blow clouds around her head, then after a little bit of this she will go lay down and chew on her bone or just sleep, she seems to like it, but how the hell can you really tell how high it's getting the animal?

At my last apartment my roomates and I had a cat, and we took a box, cut a hole in the top, inserted a plastic 20 ounce bottle, with the bottom cut off, sealed it of so air/smoke would not pass around it, and attached a tube to the top of the bottle, we would put the cat in the box, and sit in a circle around it and smoke, passing the tube, and blowing our hits into the box through the tube, so the cat was just sitting in a small box continuousley being filled with smoke, by the time we let her out we were all fairley convinced she had to have gotten high, and we could not think of anything else that would work better. She hated haveing smoke blown directley in her face, but she would stay chill inside our box.

My mother had a cat who died about a year ago from cancer. In the last few weeks, as she shriveled away, she would not eat on her own. After a while, Ma decided she would blow some pot smoke into her ear three times a day. After about fifteen minutes, the cat would crawl over to its food and eat.
But stories like this can be fabricated, just like any claimed knowledge. I say we do tests and collect data.

my parents had some old miniture snauzers, and they were getting pretty old anyway, they were courious about what I was doing smoking weed so one day I cupped my hands around the dogs nose and blew the hit in through there nose..I did it to both dogs... they both sneezed almost every time I blew a hit through thier nose..
After a couple of minutes they started acting all happy..and looking like they were smiling or something..they kept going to get drinks of water... the male snhnauzer kept trying to hump the female dog a lot i remember..apparently it gets them horny as well..
I got them high a a bunch of times after that...they really enjoyed it.. but they both died a few years later from intesitinal worms...well they both acted like they were in pain...so it was ust a guess.. they were both 9 and 10 years old at the time when they died,,,my dad originally bought them to make pure bred puppies for profit..
