Strong Odor - None/Little Growth

After 13 days and almost no growth I decided to take a couple of my 1pint jars and open the lids and check it out. God damn was the smell aweful it almost knocked me off my feet. It smells almost like fermented apples or like wine.. very pungent, and strong.. Is this contamination usually, or could this just be the result of stored up honey, or brown rice flour??? it really reaks.. no signs of any visible contamination though.. any help would be great.. thanks

It's a yeast infection.

And how do i cure this? I didnt know my wife had a daughter with a yeast infection.???

Hey Puscle...
Are you saying that you can pressure cook the apple smelling, yeast infected jars and not have to mix up new substrate material?

No, I reccomend dumping the infected substrate and starting over.
