I burned a bluegrass mix for the daughter (who lives in Australia) of a woman with whom I work. her daughter is going to send me a small didjeridoo.
if you feel bored and feel the need to smoke, get out of your element. take a walk for an hour or more and listen to headphones (not music you listen to while stoned). just do something completely different that is feasible. I live in the city so as much as I'd love to walk around nature trails or do something fun outdoors I'm basically confined to buildings.
try something new. books are fine but get boring for me. you need something equally as big or bigger than pot was for your life. just do a lot of little activities like working out for a little bit, or taking a walk at night, or going to see a movie, or something to keep you occupied and not bored. however, a large task that will stimulate but entertain you is what you need. if you're musical, learning a new easy instrument could definitely be it. it's all about finding a balance and trying to remain positive while sticking to your resolutions.

WoW is World of Warcraft. It's an online game that's pretty fun.
And I am in the same boat. I am quitting pot for awhile. Tonight when I felt like toking up I exercised instead.

Yeah both Terry Pratchett and Carlos Castenada are good...
Actually my avatar is Terry Pratchett related. His books are good because they are incredibly funny and have a pretty high pace...

freddurgan said: It's really easy to list stuff like everyone else, but I completely understand what you are saying. It's hard to find something to entertain yourself once you stop smoking. People are like "GO HIKINH"
Well I live in Atlanta, I can't really hike. GO MOUNTAIN CLIMBING! Same deal. GO MAKE SOMETHING! Make what? GO BLAH BLAH! None of them ever appealed to me, so I've been having quite the issue with occupying myself. I currently only have 10 hours of class, so I can't even 100% devote myself to studies because it's just not that dependant on my work at this point.
It will take you some time to be entertained if you are anything like me. But DON'T, read books about drugs. Don't read the Acid test, you'll just get really distracted and think about pot or drugs and then you just aren't helping yourself. A pot mindset is a drug mindset. Think about something else -entirely-.
I do reccomend reading a book. Try something that is an easy read. Like Cosmic Banditos (not really about drugs but they are in it so it's comical and fun), or what I just read, Life Expectancy by Dean Koontz (very easy read, no sub-plots of sub-characters of any kind. Just straight up thriller-esque novel.)
Just don't smoke or do other drugs.
OK, fuck you guys! No more lists for you!
