Help please!: growing mushrooms without spores

hi everyone, i come here today seeking some advise. i have tried to grow mushrooms without spores a couple of times as i live in australia and unfortunately the laws here forbid sale/supply. i was hoping that some more experienced growers may be able to give me some tips or a recommended growing technique that has worked for them before?
i have looked through the bulk substrate guides but haven't found what i was looking for. if you are going to say 'try a search', please show me where to look as i am quite new to the site.
thanks, ricky brisbane, australia

You have to find a mushroom and clone it if you can't get spores....but if you go mushroom hunting and find a shroom then you could get spores.

yes, my last attempt at a spore print was unsuccessful. i guess i just have to wait for some more rain then. it seems there's too much sun and not enough cows around here!

thanks prisoner, i'll have a looksie. as far as i'm aware, most of the woodloving shrooms need a colder climate, right? my only concern would be that it doesn't ever get cold enough in brisbane for them to sprout. but let's hope there's some out there!

I have traded spores with people down under. There are shroomery people down there as well.
This thread in the market place is from a guy in Australia

Subaeruginosa grow all over melbourne and brisbane isnt that much further north. you're located on the 28th S and melbourn on the 36th N parallel, your location is similar to that of north florida, you may find a couple of cubensis species and possibly a wood lover or 2. I'm on the 34th N and we have 11 different species, Ps. weilii, PS. cubensis, Ps. caerulescens, Ps. cyanescens Pan. subbalteatus, Gymnopolis spectabilis and luteofolius are the majority
check the hunting forum and one of our aussies should be able to give you a much better idea of whats found in your area. mushrooms found in austrailia as a whole are Copelandia cyanescens, Psilocybe australiana, Psilocybe eucalypta, Psilocybe makarorae, Psilocybe semilanceata, Psilocybe tasmaniana, Psilocybe aucklandii, Psilocybe subaeruginosa... I hope this gets you on a mushroom hunt when the weather cools off a bit.
