any one ever seen the redish brown fungus that grows in bong water?

I found a long stringy white fungus growing in my alien cup bong, i got too baked to change it and somehow misplaced it the next day. Wasn't pleasant trying to blast off into hyperspace with my alien friend when there was long stringy colonies of fungus/bacteria/mold filling up his intoxicant cleaning organs.

i suggest cleaning the bong every 10-20 times of use. Dumping the water would prob be suggested after every 3-5 times of use.

I would seriously suggest changing the water after every session, I seriously can't imagine smoking from a bong that has tepid, old, disgusting water in it. I don't understand why people don't do this. It takes a trip to the kitchen to change the water and it makes a world of difference.

I've had a friend pass me his bong and the water was so old it had turned to jelly....
I passed up on that real quicklike.
I try and pour the water out of my pyrex bong in the morning at least.
Builds a ring of resin, but no fungus... to clean it i simply pour out the water, squirt about a 1/4 cup of zippo fuel into it, a handfull of dry rice and swish it around.. comes out sparkling clean.
rinse it out with water and dish soap for good measure and as good as new !
not recommenced for plastic or wood pieces.. might keep the zippo fuel smell.
