Well 5th flush has been harvested. I belive thats the end of this tub. Weird the biggest mushroom was from the last flush, but I am not bitchin' :] I will have my next log comming. It will be a clone from one of the mushrooms from the 3rd flush. Till next time guys, thanks for the input, peace.
 
And we'll start again soon...

great results had always wondered exactly what kind of potential castings had. have never worked with them. well organized log, too.
i would like to see your results of the isolate

Thanks for the comments. I tried to keep it as organized as I could. The next one will be much better. A lot of on the fly changes had to be done in this run, but I have those all controlled now (or at least I think :])

just a couple questions
im a little confused as to what the purpose of the polyfil was exactly
and in one pic you have lids, the next you have what looks like coffee filters with rubber bands, can you detail what the deal here is?

I used the polyfill to as so the living colony inside can breathe. The coffee filter is to shelter the polyfill from the brunt of the enviorment and during shaking you don't have to put your hands on the pollyfill. Also, they are very easy write on.
As for the tubs, same idea, they need to have even more air exchange - and most air is dirty - non-nutritive strands, tighlty bound, make a filter, not 100% protection - but I would say it keeps 95% of the stuff out that it should. The other 5% I hope the colony and the h202 take out.
